Let's go India!

I hope the match is over today to avoid the risk of it getting rained out tomorrow.

Just by watching Guptill bat, you can tell he doesn't belong at this level.

Unfortunately for us, we have another player who doesn't belong there coming in next...

I dont know how can Umpires miss that!!! That was Plumb..

Guptill looks absolute clueless..He is garbage in tests

Not watching the match at the moment so don't know if he was out or not, umpires have been pathetic, so far in this series.

Although, I agree with the last line. Guptil is not a test batsman.

It's 9 v 11.

I wonder how close we could have pushed India if we had KW and someone else in place of Guptill.

Lots of Deliveries missing the stumps..Hit and Miss... Umpires not giving LBWs..

And then Boundaries coming in every over..Need to control the runs..
A partnership of 100 odd,no matter how it comes, will put India in pressure.

Latham is really prone to getting out lbw.

He seems to fall over a lot.

Nothing happening in the pitch now.

Still some small chances are being created by spinners.

Gotta keep it tight and wait.

This is gonna be a tough innings.

Shami had his moments..Unfortunate that he didn't get wickets.. Could have easily got 2-3 wickets.

Nothing for others till now though.

55/0.

320 more runs to go, but it only takes 1 or 2 wickets for it to open up.

Really hope NZ win.

Thoughts and prayers with rosco :rosco

think this will be a career defining innings for guppy puppi.

That Guptill's wicket is 13th LBW of the match..equals the record for highest LBWs in any test match in India!!

That Guptill lbw was pitching outside. Still can't complain, he was plumb earlier.

The Indians over appealing is so annoying.

It's surprising they haven't been fined yet.

Ash seems to be in great rhythm, post lunch and Latham is doing an equally good job of seeing Ash's bowling through. Good contest, this.

Pardon my ignorance but I have seen indian posters saying in the previous match that pitch is suddenly helping the spinners and suddenly not. How is that possible?

It surprised all.

That was a weird pitch. Plus it also had a bit to do with the ball too. Older ball did more but too much of an old ball got soft did little.

This pitch is another one. Relaid Kolkata pitch.

Yesterday, there was unplayable variable bounce for 20-30 overs and now it looks like normal. First 3 innings, pacers got way more purchase and now there is nothing. But this could be attributed to relaid pitch which can act odd till it settles down.

Please cut out all the sweep runs of Latham. Fine sweep...proper sweep...everything.

Stifle him.

Annoyed with the field placing for him.

As I said, the field placing is stupid.

The around the wicket is fine but fielders are not there.

Need to cut out the sweep runs.

Latham has been good this series need to get him before EOD looking dangerous.

We just have to wait.

The pitch will play up. Or ball may reverse.

Hopefully.

One ball just did for Jaddu.

That's why we can't give runs.

Disgraceful stuff from the Indians.

Jadeja and Kohli have to be fined.

Twice Jadeja has run across the danger zone.

I don't buy that excuse of habit.

If he does it again, he has to be removed.

You have the 2 umpires so that's +2 for NZ.
Guptill's wasn't out

And you quickly forget the 3 wickets that got you into the strong position in the last Test.

Frankly, the over appealing is doing you no favors. Your going up for everything and putting pressure on the umpires, then you're having a go at them for not giving the close ones (Kohli).

Guptill was plumb earlier of pacer.

If anything, umpire screwed us before.

Cmon.

Last test, I agree.

Yeah, the last one was clipping. If it went to DRS, it would have remained with umpires call.

Second, are we really going to complain about a decision against Guptill?

I swear to god... Jadeja is a disgrace.

That was nowhere close to being out.

Turning away and hit him on freaking off.

Disgraceful appealer.

Yes we are he and Ronchi are two guys i don't trust Indian bowlers with ,one can never be sure!

Ok I will check that.

If so, that is mere technicality.

It was super plumb live. If its just clipping, then yeah its not out that would the the case where umpires call legitimizes the wrong decision of umpire. That happens with DRS rules.

Do the Indians know the lbw rules? They seem to go up for anything that hits the pad as if it's plumb..

Great fight from NZ. Should have restricted India to a lead of about 300 though

Probably Kumble would have asked them to go for these appeals.I remember how he used to ask our batters to atleast earn their pay by appealing when anything struck the pads as he used to toil away.
