the 4th pacer has taken almost same or less wickets than Ashwin in WTC final in all Tests so far.In headingly even 5th bowler looked better.And this strategy has costed 2 WTC points for over rate penalty.

With runs on board even 3+1 will win matches.The 4th pacer isnt doing anything world beating

Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul took India to stumps at 43/0, trailing by 56, after their bowlers wrapped up England's first innings for 290.

England finished their first innings 99 runs ahead of India. After the visitors had bowled England out in the first half of the final session, Rohit Sharma got a lifeline early in India's second outing. James Anderson induced edge in the seventh over but Rory Burns completely misjudged a low catch at the second slip.

Rohit finished the day unbeaten on 20* with KL Rahul keeping him company on 22*. The former also completed 15,000 international runs, becoming the eighth India batsman to reach the mark.

Earlier, England resumed the day with Dawid Malan batting on 26* alongside Craig Overton who was on nightwatchman duties. However, Overton’s stay didn’t last long and was dismissed early on day two by Umesh Yadav for 1.

Then, India were able to remove Malan for 31. It was Yadav once again. Malan edged the ball and Rohit at slips took a stunner to send him back.

Jonny Bairstow and Ollie Pope stitched together a clinical partnership of 89 runs for the sixth wicket. Bairstow scored a steady 37 before Mohammed Siraj produced an inswinging delivery that did Bairstow for leg-before.

Pope continued to showcase grit to bring England to parity and extend lead thereon with Moeen Ali. The two put up a 71-run partnership during which Pope brought up his sixth Test fifty.

On the brink of Tea, Ali (35) decided to break the shackles and takedown Ravindra Jadeja but instead ended up miscuing the ball to the covers fielder where Rohit completed the catch.

Half an hour into the final session, Shardul Thakur claimed the big wicket of Pope, who made a solid 81 from 159 balls. The England batsman looked to play an outside off delivery but an inside edge resulted in the ball crashing onto the stumps.

One brought two for India as in the next over, Jadeja sent Ollie Robinson back to the pavilion for 5, reducing England to 255/9. But Woakes remained unperturbed and continued to bat with grit.

He kept hitting regular boundaries, adding important runs to England's lead, with Anderson standing firm from the other end. Woakes hit Bumrah for three fours in one over, handling the new ball with confidence. He raced to his fifty in style with a four, reaching the mark in 58 balls.

But after one ball, England's innings came to an end as Woakes was run-out for 50.

English conditions are wierd and favors one team more than other. There is never a balance.
Yesterday it was tough with ball jagging all over place and Indian batsmen had to apply more.
and today good conditions and 300 runs in a day and england taking lead.
Tomorrow it could stay that way or go back to day1 conditions.

it is already England's match with such a huge lead.....Needs extraordinary effort from India to make a comeback.
