Indian fans,have you accepted our fate in WC19?

It is now clear that a colossal mismanagement and lack of vision has led to us - a country of batting riches with a middle order worse than that of a minnow.Yuvraj singh was persisted with until last year despite him not being the same batsman after his tragic health problem.Then old washed up TTFs karthik,raina,kedar,rayudud were and are being recycled over and over.Dhoni was persisted with so long without even blooding in pant in t20s until now despite his apparent decline.

Pant was delayed so much we now have no time to blood him in.
Now we have the fearsome middle order of dhoni,kedar and rayudu,and no time to really change things by much.
The 2 youngsters tried -Iyer was axed despite modestly good performances,a talent like rahul is warming the bench in ODIs(something that would never happen in ganguly era).

So the tragic thing is that despite having several excellent players available - Gill,Shaw,Iyer,Rahul,Pant,Kishan.....we will enter the world cup with the worst middle order of all teams save afghanistan.Given that it is impossible to win the world cup with such a middle order i ask indian fans - have you accepted our fate?

Closer to the World Cup, besides other questions, we also need to ask if Kohli should lead us in shorter formats or should Rohit Sharma be made the captain? Alarming to see a young WI side easily thrash us, they should have been ahead 2-1 by now. Add to this series, Kohli’s captaincy in Eng ODIs. Picture is not great. We won in SA but that was a heavily depleted side plus the leggies still had a mystery about them. The moment opposition plays them better, Kohli goes clueless.

His batting has gone a gear up due to captaincy but is it leading to the desired benefits for the team?

In any case Iyer and Shaw need to replace the garbage in middle order right now.
Both are confident, hungry guys who took to interntional cricket like fish does to water.

They should play big 3 + Shaw Iyer Pant.

Well kohli and rohit were bound to fail in one match and it was when middle order have to rescue the team which middle order failed .

The overall scorecard is looking good due to superv effort from jadeja overall indian middle was not good in todays game
