Umm no, when Mendis was bowling we barely reached 200....

Hey it took Mendis 2 innings to get 8 wickets :D It was a joke though.

What is the most wickets taken by an off spinner in his debut Test? Serious question....

Krejza gets 8 on debut. Eat that Mendis.

All out 441
There's your sniff R.A.

Aussies have to bat for at least 5 sessions now. Get a decent lead and have the Indians staring at a deficit. With a series victory in sight, they could well capitualte when it matters most.

Great bowling performance by the debutant. He conceded too many runs though..but it's ok. Now we need a spectacular Aussie collapse.................

With the pitch taking some turn, it's not going to be easy though. The Aussies will have to bat out of their skins. If the Indians bowl and field well then the series should be theres.

Conceded too many runs?

Average of 26 as an off spinner now?

How is averaging 26 for the innings conceding too many runs?

Please explain?

From debutant bowling in the first innings to world class players?

I'm tipping India to chase 30 to win.
Harbhanator will dominate on this track. :O

Well good bowling performance from krejza! he is the is the difference rite now between the scorline of 600-8 dec and 441 all out!

Haydos has been useless this tour, might be in danger of losing his spot.

Hughes from NSW keeps piling on the runs and Marsh is in the frame too...

Mike Hussey hold the key now. He is one batsman who holds immense patience. If India can get him, it'll be a humongous factor in the outcome of this match.

RA, whats your opinion of Usman Khawaja?

Haven't seen him bat yet.

Saw he got 40ish and 60ish in the most recent game.

The NSW side is where maybe 50% of Australian players come from so to be his age and batting number 4 for NSW means he is going pretty well.

Pity he is not a spinner lol.

100 up , 2/100 Krapich has made a run a ball half century. Go figure.

Katich is making me sick. Come on man, what's the point in toiling in the middle, get out quickly and rest in the air conditioned pavilion.

End of play for the day. Day 1 was india's. Day 2 was aussies. Aussies will go to the dressing room feeling a bit better than their indian counterparts at this stage of the match.

I just hope that india do not dwell on the fact that they cannot lose this series and actually end up losing this match!! It would be a travesty of justice indeed!!!!!

Well, the day belongs to Australia. If they bat all day tomorrow, they'll be into the lead and the pressure will well and truly be on the Indians. All to play for...game on.

Well done Australia for a stirling fight back. They are just short of 200 and only 2 down and have scored quickly. The best thing for them would be to get up to Indias total and be bowled out by tea. Meaning there is 7 sessions left in game and its a 1 inns slug out and indias batting may flop for 1st time in series.

Other option could be try to get 550-600! In either case Aussies have to keep scoring at rate they have done today!

Ponting does not pick the team

Typical Pakistani fans will never believe that. Why do you think they are after Malik as if he is controlling the selecting policy? Hail Malik :batman:

Surprising, shocking, unexpected performance from quick century by the one and only one who is hated among the Australian supporters, is Simon Katich. It's Brilliant !

Looking like a draw or a loss if we collapse in the 2nd innings

What the...where did I say we are a good cricket team? :D Just pointing out how pathetic your team has been compared to Pakistan, who with all the problems, missing players etc, still managed to remain competitive. And then you go on and say we aren't in the same league

I don't think we've been pathetic though, bar the one Test that we got thumped. Every other loss we've had even post Warne-McGrath has been competitive. I wonder how many teams could lose the quality of players we've lost (Gilchrist, Warne, McGrath, Langer, MacGill) and still be competitive.

The wins are a lot harder to come by and there are a lot more draws but that was to be expected.

The second option would be the ideal one from an Aussie perspective. Bat big and get as much as you can in the first innings. They'd want to continue at this rate but it's likely to taper off a bit, which isn't a problem considering that there's still 3 days to go.

India would do well to keep the Aussies close to their score. By doing that they would be favorites.

Well Kretza performance was outstanding. 8 wickets on debut is a big thing. I am surprised the way the Indians folded against him. If the Aussie's continue to bat well as they have done, there is no reason why they cannot come back into this game. By the looks of things, one does now get the impression that the Aussie's have now gotten used to the reverse swing tactics of Zaheer and Ishant, and the spinners. They could still draw the series, but the fast bowlers including Lee have to pick their games up.

One thing I noticed during the test match; umpires consistently going upstairs to check catches when Aus appeals. When I argued why this wasnt done in the first test when India appealed, me and poor old Keith got into bit of tangle. Keith saying there was no need to go upstairs was quite agitating for me, your thoughts Keith ?

Mark my words, Aussies will still continue to be on top after this series ends.

They are still a great side, no need to mark you words everyone knows they will wipe the floor against NZ, SA coming up. Last test even though we scored 600 odd it would have easily been well into 750 mark had it been some other team some amazing fielding and never die attitude just stunning....
