Is this true that whenever Ganguli came to commentary then India looses every time??? street cricketer
Why do Atherton and Nasser keep mentioning about the minefield conditions in Bangladesh on air while talking about that series or Eng/Bang players.
I admire both very much as commies but it looks a case of sour grapes to me.
Gambhir's stance looks so ugly on the eyes..
India can still score on this pitch and get a draw. See of England's seamers and they will definitely score of the spinners.
Everything possible. Eng is better for reverse swing than ind.
No one criticised the pitch?![]()
Man if Gambhir scores, it will be over for Dhawan and Rahul, I prefer Dhawan and Rahul over Gambhir
Moen getting more respect than usual and that's how India will fall![]()
Sanjay spurting rubbish out, why wouldn't we have faith in Azhar,Misbah, and Younis?)
)
Thanks Athers for backing us up.
what did he say ?
I am not too sure if it was fair to drop Gambhir few years back.
He had a lean patch but still I think he didn't got as many chance as Viru/ Yuvi and then younger players like Rohit or Rahane(Odis) has got.
First time I'm seeing Sanjay talk something against Pakistan.
Usually is a cheerleader. JaDed always complains about that.![]()
Gauti actually doesn't look against spin anymore or maybe its just me being bias against him
This is likely to be a draw.
Okay batters need to be wary here, it's starting to turn.
His open chested stance is preventing him from getting his front foot to the pitch of the ball for those outside off. Will be in trouble when pitch breaks down more against Moeen.
No its turning now,3 spinners and reverse swing will be very hard considering we went in with 5 bowlers.
Expecting a collapse in the first session tomorrow. England need to have the bowl of their life and take a 1:0 lead here. Do that and they can even win the series.
Kabhi toh acha bolo karo yaar
I hope we score 450+ and trigger a 2nd innings collapse on 4th day.
We will not score aggressive enough to force a win in our favor. Our firs target will be to avoid follow on. We do not have Shikhar Dhawan opening here. He is our aggressive opener. Vijay is a slow scorer. Gambhir will play for his place. He will not take any chances. Outside of Kohli, no one plays aggressive in top order.
What India can do is damage England's bowlers. I do not care if this is a draw. Just make England bowlers bowl for 2 days in the sun and make them tired. Will be a big ask though. The weight of the scoreboard will play its part.
Will be good for the upcoming Test matches of England bowlers are tired and stressed.
Gambhir scoring a century will be fancy
He may score a 100 if the pitch remains flat like it was for the 1st 2 days. But runs on such pitches should not be taken seriously.
Hopefully Rahul will get back into the team as soon as he is fit. He is much better than Gambo.
A young rahul will surely going to be better than gambhir
but to keep it simple if he perfom's u can't keep him out regardless of the pitch type
Bw too much hate for gambhir on this forum...May be he past his prime but back then he was a handy player with great temperament, the way he literally saved napier test was astounding
Will be hard work for england but they need to remember that ut is ashwin saha and jadeja at 6 7 and 8. These guys should struggle if it reverses properly.
Try to keep the score down to 320 -5 by end of 2maw and then day 4 is moving day
If India are 320-5 by the end of the day tomorrow, the tail can easily add another 100 runs even if the ball reverses. Ashwin/Jadeja/Saha are all very good lower batsmen especially in Indian conditions. The match will end up as a draw.
The only way there is a result is if India collapses tomorrow to say 300 all out. Then England can bat 2 more sessions, have a 450 lead and declare and then take out India on 5th day.
The chances of India winning this is less than 1%.
Considering the conditions, Draw is most likely followed by England win.
