collingwood has had a forgetful series, can he make upto it today???

Not the way hes playing right now. Can't leave the big hitting for the final overs.

Gets a 4 off the last ball. Still not a very good over for england but keeps them in the game.

No offense, but Collingwood to me looks like an old man with seldom energy, even though he is a brilliant fielder.

Zaheer takes a wicket with his last ball to finish with excellent figures of 2 for 20 in his five overs :19:

D/L method screws England. Otherwise I thought they played pretty well given the total India made in 22 overs (166).

Would India have played at ODI pace for the first 17 overs if they would have known beforehand that it would be a 22 over match ?

Deserved win by India, but at least England made a game of it, and even managed to shut the crowd up for a couple of overs.

If the match was only for 22 overs from the start itself, do you reckon India would have made only 166 runs?

I stand corrected!

You mean England didn't think it was an ODI for the first 5 overs? J/k..

ok 7-0 mission still in place, it was briefly threatened by rain and later by shah & flintoff....

Don't take it personal Indian mates I as cricket lover generally wrote that this Rule sucks you are happy because it went in India's favor what if it would have gone against India? and as for as pin drop silence is concerned at least show some respect to countries who visit your country. I like England Crowd no matter what they clap if opposite team batsman hits four or six but in India LOL. Anyways good luck India.

Ruthless crowd but the only exception will be Chennai and Guwahati

man of the match is sehwag, Zak deserved it more i think!

I agree!!! Not just for his bowling but also for his leadership in helping Dhoni in field setting and guiding Ishan and Munaf.

matic boss... just to clarify, when india started, they thought the match as a 50 overs match... as a matter of fact, they played whole of those first 14 overs, thinking it as a 50-50 match... imagine whats the generall score of Pakistan in first 14-15 overs in an ODI game.. 70-80 max.. but now think if its T20 match, what would be Pakistans' score after 14 overs...70-80? no.. it would around 120 something on flat batting pitch.. now when England started, they were given a target in 22 overs..so they played aggresive from start.. hope that clears it :misbah

lol... ya...thats a different case...i dont know what the heck they were doing in first 5-6 over though i m not taking the credit away from Patel and Zaheer... but still the way England played in first 6 overs was just dumb

England have been disappointing to say the least and theoretically all f us were expecting this series to be a close as the only team to have a genuine all-rounder along with some explosive batsmen and brilliant bowlers...Pieter son's Captaincy was also uninspiring to say the least and many tactical blunders were committed by him in his field placings and shuffling of the batting order.

Lulz!

O man,,,,, what was that fielding by Raina at the boundary? :))) :))) :)))

Even Yuvraj couldn't stop laughing and he was the bowler lol..

And also, Dhoni giving gloves to Gambhir :)) :))

Man, Dhoni is jokes lol!

:asif :asif :asif

It's a surprise because England beat SA 4-0 just ten weeks ago, with their pace quartet looking like world-beaters.

India have clear advantages in their opening batters and spin bowlers.

England have an opening bowler who is out of form, a keeper who should not be there and the wrong players opening the batting.

India are obviously on red-hot form, haveing just beaten Australia, whereas England only had two short matches to warm up and look woefully underprepared. Still, nobody gets proper warm-up matches any more so touring sides just have to deal with that.

an absolute farce of a game... india had nothing to gain but everything to lose here today: a hollow victory if we had won, which we did; and an embarrassing loss which would have chafed the tolerance of every supporter... a decent game reduced to a simple toss up!

hopefully the rest of the series will be a lot more promising. in my books, the series is poised at 3-0... and england can still salvage a draw here.

Going by your analogy England should have easily won the last game even though India needed 43 of 54 odd balls lol but anyhow on paper England looks better than India but it would take more than a miracle for them to win the next 3 games even against a second string side

England payed for not having someone like Mascherenas in the team.

Oh well, if their happy with guys like Swann in the team, fair enough.

Fantastic knock by Owais Shah though. Well played
