Beast of an effort!
Even the last sprint wasnt devoid of the vigor.

Now if he is gonna keep wickets.. Dhoni better be called a beast as well.

India should win this one easily!

If their bowlers somehow screw this one up, then they deserve to be taken out of the team, to be honest!

Should be an easy chase for Newzealand - unfortunately india don't have that spice in there bowling line up to run through NZ on a flat deck.

at around 44 overs Dhoni and Raina, or perhaps atleast one of them should have retired and allowed Yuvraj or Pathan to have some practice
I don't see a reason for going on batting when you know that you are in a good touch and have made your team reach a comfortable total....
just saying..

Well said.
Exactly my thoughts.

This way Yuvraj will have to bat around good players who are clicking and wait for his touch to come back. They shd have retired after scoring abt 75 and 50.. giving a strong msg to everybody as well.
But oh well..

I think India made the same mistake Pakistan made yesterday. Gambhir, Kohli, Dhoni and Raina should of retired and let the lower order bat. That said India have been my favourites before the WC, and nothing changes that.

Cricinfo:

Welcome back for New Zealand's chase. It will be interesting to see how they approach India's 360. Will they go all out, or will they treat this as some decent batting practice?

It will be boring if they treat it as decent batting pratice imo. They should go all out, they have got nothing to lose. :)

13 years of cricket and :nehra still doesnt know how to bowl...

from cricinfo
In 30 home ODIs, Nehra averages 42.28 runs per wicket, and 6.48 runs per over. Outside India he averages 27.93, at an economy rate of 4.72.

Nehra is ineffective in India, he shouldn't be playing the home matches atleast, Dhoni should bring Munaf in instead of him

yeah munaf is on the field... i think he will be roaring in the next over i guess

:yahoo finally chicken burger posted on the thread. This should be enough to make India's luck turn

Sorry but a medium pace attack of Nehra and Sree couldn't run through a bunch of kids in the gulli's, never mind minnows NZ.

Sreesanth to BB McCullum, no run, oh ho! More fun. McCullum shuffled across, went down on his knee, yeah he did, and tried to paddle-scoop it over the keeper! The ball went over the bat and to Dhoni. Sreesanth chirps; McCullum smiles.

:)) Hit the spinner!

They should kick this garbage Sree out of the team. No discipline and useless bowler. Taunting is one thing but annoying is another.

Remember how the Bangla boys trashed your new ball pair last night? Just saying...

We bowled like rusty campers, did you see how we finished off? India could not even take a wicket with a seamer in their first warm up and none here too. I don't know what's you point.

and Sree gets PLUNDERD FOR :six
