They have very small talent pools in terms of number of people. England has far less cricketers than Pakistan and cricket is a distant number 2 sport in the country. However, they are still ahead of us because of obvious reasons.

The winning team could be full of duds, ala 2012 India u19, or even a team that doesn’t make to finals could be full of future greats.

Definetely feel the same way. At this level it's about development rather than results imo. It's just a u19 world cup ***. Too much hype given to these matches. That dude Rohail played well for his innings, it's obvious he'll lack maturity, to call him selfish is something incredible.

I don't think they prepared anything lol SUshant and Akash singh both like to bowl short balls. They did against all teams. Bouncy conditions encourage you to bowl more short stuffs

Some posters need to calm down Pak U19 played well throughout the tournament and everybody knew Indian team was tournament favourites from the start. One of the semi finalist playing at the other end, Pak had them 105/9 while NZ wouldnt have caused much problem as well in my opinion.
