It is going to be a competitive series, both team are in transition

I expect India to win this test match and Sachin to be the Man of the Match[rough guess]

India are slight favourites due to home conditions but will be an interesting series nevertheless
 
*Pessimistic mode* Expect Aus to win toss and Watson thrash our bowlers. Aus to end day on 340-3.

As far as gloating is concerned, if you did not have stuff to glaot.............. you guys wouldn't be here with thousands of gloats..... I mean posts! ;-)
 
Aus will be the definite underdogs going into this. Even if India plays half decent cricket they should be able to come away with a comfortable win. By far the weakest Aus Test outfit ever assembled as long as I've been following cricket. Hoping for a good game of cricket though.

Nevermind, I have no allegiance or liking to either team. I hope they figure out a way to both lose.

Can't say I expect it to be a good show either.

Apart from the result and the occasional spells of bowling / KP batting, our series was boring.

What lie did I tell there??.....I said I am sick of loosing...it may be last test or last 100 tests...you do not know if it is lie....


anyway...we have lost every major test series..aus/eng away..and to eng at home...hence sick of loosing!!!
 
Might add it is a fair insult to Indian phast bowlers that Warner is going to bat with a thumb splint.

He wouldnt do that against a side with fast bowlers :))

Australia batting first, my fear is coming true. Expecting Watson to be all over our spinners.
 
Don't think India will do too well if this is a square turner, it will be a minefield by the fourth day.

I know.. the feeling. I felt the same way when Irfan was not played in the first test and Rehman was not played in the 2nd test.

I had Ojha in my Fantasy team!

Retarded call to allow Bhaji get his 100th test, he could hv gotten that in Mohali. Why would someone drop their best spinner? :facepalm:

Only logical explanation I can see is that they were going to Sir J.... and they did not want two lefties! They would rather have two offies.

So what are the teams? :(

Tactical move - last time we played 3 spinners, our attack looked imbalanced. And with so many lefties playing they probably thought Harbhajan is a better option than Ojha. Moreover we already have Jadeja as a left arm spin option + Harbhajan adds value to lower order with his batting ability.

^^Well yes but Australia playing 4 lefties in top 6 doesn't warrant place for 2 left arm spinners. And honestly RJ didn't do too bad vs England on a dead pitch. With more help expected from this pitch he'll probably do better.

If 5 bowlers manage to get 20 wickets, we won't miss Ojha. Big pressure on Bhaji and Ashwin.

Well no help for seamers and bounce just about right for batsman to make runs all day with ease. Worrying signs already
 
Ojha is India's best spinner, if he's not playing Aussies have a realistic chance of winning this Test.
