Interesting day ahead of us.

About 45 mins to go, today's day will be huge I think. Might impact the entire series even.

Will England's pacers make a dent? Or will they chase the ball while Swann is the only one to show potency?

This has the makings of a snoozefest till the English batsmen come out to show their horrid spin batting.

Watching Star Sports feed and hindi commentary....Sidhu's mortifying and heavily sanskrit ladden hindi is going way over Ramiz's head who is haplessly persisting in his urdu...

Tip for Cook, don't play waiting game. If you do, you are in trouble, will be fielding for long .. long time.

England knows they are already out of this match and series...

Its one way street all the way from now
.

Nothing surprising.. Indian batsmen showing their might.. On indian pitches they become almost invincible..

On the brightside, Anderson is keeping it the tightest of the quickies. Something never seems to click with the English pacers on these surfaces.

India should just declare. This total is already enough for Ashwin to roll them over twice with a few more runs to spare.

Surprised that I never heard these comments when :yk, azhar ali were grinding out England on lifeless UAE tracks :))

England's bowling was pretty decent on the UAE tracks. They kept everything manageable, it was only batting that let them down.

Finn and Panesar have to play next test, they can't do worse than Broad/Anderson/Bresnan/Patel.

Oh hang on, just discovered that Broady's vice captain. He is therefore immune to being dropped.

Fell asleep watching this yesterday. Hopefully there will be more action today to warrant not dozing off.

The real theatre will commence only when England begin their innings, unfortunately.

Yeah, dumbest move to give Test VC to the most childish member of the team. I'd give it to Trott or Prior. They're the most levelheaded of the team. Can't do KP for obvious reasons, and none of the bowlers are good enough for it.

Pak vs Eng Series - UAE:

Highest innings score: 365
Highest First innings score: 257

please don't bring up crap about dead UAE pitches

Pakistan won the toss twice and batted first. 257 all out and 99 all out were their first innings scores.
England won the toss and batted first once. 192 all out.

Those pitches didn't just favor the team winning the toss and batting first. The pitches had something for the bowlers straight up.

If test cricket was confined to being played ONLY in the subcontinent, test cricket would have died a terrible death long time ago.

Depends on if Compton gets out early and then Cook and Trott set up a 20 run stand out of 300 balls. Then I'd be off to bed right away.

Decent spell from Anderson. Nothing amazing but tight, and about as threatening as these conditions allow.

Both Yuvi and Pujara are struggling to move the scoreboard. Tight bowling from Swann and Anderson.

The only thing Eng can do now is tighten up and dry the runs and hope Batsmen make some mistakes.

LOL. That's a real predicament for an english fan watching this game in the early hours of the morning :))

Fatel will be burning more pounds than getting wickets this game.

Jimmy is bowling at 85+ consistently. I guess he's trying to be a bit pacier to make up for the lack of movement.

This has been the most boring phase of the game , This is the reason for Test been so unpopular in subcontinent.

And suddenly the same bowling's gone bad?? It's the batsmen who make the bowling look what it is

India will declare an hour before close tonight and nip out probably 3 or 4 English wickets

2 reasons.

  • pak batsman lacks quality
  • england can't play spin. specailly ajmal.

hence the low scores.

some solid batting from india here.

The sehwag onslaught meant that they will be able to declare soon enough

Good stuff from India this morning. England's selection policy is being ruthlessly exposed.

Playing 3 seamers was very stupid decision. Monty might not have ran through this line up but I feel he would have created more chances.

Picking best bowling attack might work if attack is really good but that's not the case here. England should have picked bowlers keeping conditions in mind.
