I just remembered a few points:-

1) GG didn't get a hundred today because he suffered a concussion in England.

2) Viru didn't get a double hundred because he had suffered an injury during/after CLT20.

3) SRT didn't get a hundred today because he had suffered a tennis elbow in the past.

4) Yuvi- Cancer.

5) MS- Back spasms.

6) Kohli- Suffering from hair fall.

7) Zaheer- Suffering from pot belly syndrome:rana

8) Yadav- His cow just gave birth, so he has been busy nursing his calves :runaway:

So many injuries, how are the Indian's even playing :asif

You forgot Vinay Kumar didnt get 5 wickets in tests because its not the IPL where every fielder is near the rope and slower balls (LOL how can it get slower than 125ks) dont work in Perth. :yk

To be honest, it has been fun seeing Botham squirm a bit over that Trottski incident....

Was it Sir Ian who said " no place for cheats in the game"....

Anyways knowing our "love for the spirit of the game" wont be surprised if Trott's given a second life overnight, post the Flower and Cook nightly shenigans to the Indian camp

Birmingham: England pacer Tim Bresnan has asked India to show 'more desire' if they wish to succeed in the cold weather here.

"It'd help if India's fielders didn't have their hands in their pockets. It's not that cold. They need to look interested (in play) and show some desire.

Sky's post match analysis was very blunt and scathing on Andy Flower(and even Andrew Strauss? for their consistent team selection and tactics), especially on the same old batting order that England used and sending in Nightwatchman ahead of Trott. In fact, Nass openly suggested that it could be the refusal from Trott to go in and play few overs at the wee end of the day may have made cook to send Jimmy ahead.

Beefy was very critical on field setting, in particular for Swann.

But as other posters above me suggested here, it is still it is not all lost and gloomy for England. Their best players of spin are at the crease and can make life difficult for Indians on the field tomorrow. Cook has the patience to play long inning and KP can counter attack Indian spinners. We need to get these two batters out as quickly as possible to have firm grip on the game.

England has got right combination at the crease right now. Both batsmen will be crucial in this inning.

Can England promote Prior ahead of Bell? I don't think that would be bad idea.
