These 2 teams are evenly matched for me. Expect both to make the play offs. KKR have the spinners to hurt Mumbai on this pitch. Mumbai are going to be seriously tested this season, they have a lot of games in Chennai. These pitches don't suit them.

Even though these 2 teams are evenly matched this season, Mumbai usually dominate KKR. Let's see if this changes.

KKR are our 4 point guarantee team. :afridi

KKR are our 4 point guarantee team. :afridi

I remember last season during 1 of the KKR vs Mumbai games, the stats were Mumbai have won 21 games against KKR and KKR have won 6 against Mumbai. I nearly fell off my chair. Don't think is another clash in the IPL that is so 1 sided. :ssmith

Kolkata Knight Riders have won the toss and have opted to field

Mumbai Indians: 1 Rohit Sharma (capt) 2 Quinton de Kock (wk), 3 Suryakumar Yadav, 4 Ishan Kishan, 5 Hardik Pandya, 6 Kieron Pollard, 7 Krunal Pandya, 8 Rahul Chahar, 9 Marco Jansen, 10 Trent Boult, 11 Jasprit Bumrah

Kolkata Knight Riders: 1 Shubman Gill, 2 Nitish Rana, 3 Rahul Tripathi, 4 Andre Russell, 5 Eoin Morgan (capt), 6 Dinesh Karthik (wk), 7 Shakib Al Hasan, 8 Pat Cummins, 9 Prasidh Krishna, 10 Harbhajan Singh, 11 Varun Chakravarthy

Mainly watching this game to see how “disastrous investment” and Quinton De Kock get on. :inzi

MI miss a trick here by dropping form batsman in Lynn. Play both Lynn and QdK and maybe drop MarcoPolo with a local back-up.

Russel looked offkey this year too. Was a beast in 2019

Dekock gone. I think Janemaan and Markram are better openers for proteas than Dekock based on current form.

How disrespectful of Quinton de kock to leave the touring team Pakistan on their turf and come to India to play IPL? You don't do that even if a touring team is Zimbabwe let alone a proud cricket nation like Pakistan.

SKY should do well not to confuse his name with his shots. Another Dekock like wicket would be bad for MI

Shakib is the only bengali player playing for KKR. I am sure he feels more connected to Kolkata than other Indian players like Bhajji etc.

SKY has to play at no.3 for India in both the T20 world cups no matter what happens. Kohli should drop down to 4 realising that he's no longer the best one down bat in the team....

Looks like whilst KKR are playing in Chennai they will rely on the spinners for wickets, Cummins and Krishna to keep things tight, and Russell as some sort of X factor.

The disastrous investment cannot be trusted to bowl in the powerplay

Needs the field well spread

Shubman Gill representing Kuldeep Yadav with his new haircut

Rohit said Mumbai were 20 short in the last game. So he must think 180 is a good score. Not sure about a spin attack of Krunal and Chahar on this pitch.

Man this is why I hate watching the IPL...

Don't know whether to enjoy SKY or be frustrated at Prasidh... :shezzy2

SKY is a special player. He can be India's match winner this WT20.

That was some shot. SKY definitely deserves the number 3 position for the World T20.

Prasidh is never that good....just enjoy SKY

I mean that's the frustrating part...

It's not like we desperately need him for the T20Is or something but not performing in the IPL can potentially ruin his longer format career just like it almost did with Siraj.

Well that’s 1 of the 5 wickets Cummins should be taking every game with that price tag

Just like Narine replaced by Shakib , KKR need to get in Cutting for Russell

No they don’t. Russell is a great fielder, match winner with the bat, and a good death bowler. He won’t be dropped unless he is injured.

Cummins is a big match player and it was only a matter of time before he starts doing what he is best at.

Pandya gone.

These pitches don’t suit Mumbai at all. Not sure they have the spinners for this track as well.

Pollard gone .

JattMaula, not sure your getting those 2 guaranteed points tonight. :uak
