There's always talent in Ireland, issue is facilities and insufficient domestic matches.

Harry and Jack Tector, David Delany, Neil Rock are four names off the top of my mind. Our upcoming pace battery looks very promising must be said, but they need the facilities and gametime to kick on to the next level.

I am not taking anything away, but this is Pakistan we are talking about, team has lost to Zimbabwe not too long ago. They are currently at no 7 and a lot of new players in the team. Def not one of those top 4 or 5 test teams.

Shadab will be cannon fodder against England. Very promising young cricketer, but with only 8 F/C matches under his belt, he simply not ready for Test cricket, let alone in this conditions.

Pakistan should have gone with Imad or Nawaz. They can match Shadab's batting output, but they are more disciplined bowlers at this stage.
