Should not go for the follow on since we have lots of cricket coming up and you don't want to keep your bowlers out there for too long.

If you lose it ,it will be remembered for years while that Eng series will be forgotten if u lose it even by innings defeat thats what i mean to say.
 
I think, getting more Batting in these conditions more important than winning this match !!!!!!!
 
we have one more practice game before england match so leave practice for there . it is an official match better win it
 
Follow on was a good choice since weather can be so unpredictable and the Irish might find some strength in the 2nd innings so it is good to give our bowlers some time to get wickets because winning should be priority.

We still have another practice game against Leics to get batting practice so we will not be short of time in the middle.
 
I think it's a poor decision to enforce the follow on. Conditions have become easier to bat in compared with morning, so you're giving Ireland easier overs to get their runs in. Our batsmen could have needed the practice, especially top order.

We could have just batted out the rest of the 26 overs, got around 100 runs, and then declared tomorrow morning. Or maybe get it up to a round 400 and then declare.
 
Insane bowling this.

I so want Joyce to score, he deserves it, he deserves more than two Test dismissals in a day for 4 runs

5KPH more and this Abbas Guy would have been lethal.More lethal than Asif.

He can only shout, playing cricket is beyond his capability now.
 
Likely Ed Joyce's final innings. Our best ever player, a phenomenal batsman. Would love him to get 50 as he deserves it so much, probably wont happen though.
 
Across all formats, how many catches have been dropped off Amir's bowling since his comeback?

20? 30?

Its getting ridiculous.

He is already not doing well, on top catches getting dropped is not helping him at all.

Common sense would tell you after all the costly and potentially match-losing catches (Kohli says hi) Azhar has put down, he should not be in the slip cordon.
 
I think Azhar should phased out in a year or so. His cowardly, suffocating brand of cricket will hold Pakistan back.

If a couple of young dynamic batsmen find their feet, for example, Babar, Haris, Saad etc., this stroke-less wonder should be given the marching orders.

Whoa you think there is room for improvement in Pakistan cricket!!!? I thought no matter what we do we will be mediocre.

It doesn't take much to better than someone like Azhar. Haris is already better than him, and if Babar and Saad etc. can average around 35-40 at a SR of 50+, which is certainly doable even by our lowly standards, I will be happy to see the back of Azhar and his 45 average at a SR of 35.
 
Sarfraz should improve his fitness. This is poor from him. I dont mind if he drops difficult catches, every keeper does but you need to put effort.

Plus he is the captain now and has much more responsibility.
 
Sarfraz has gotten fat. He is neither athletic nor reliable anymore. Wait till he drops a tournament somewhere in future.
 
Phenom is giving some gifts to Irish before devouring them.
 
All we did was give some easy overs for Ireland to bat with. We should have just batted ourselves declared in the morning and had at it against the Irish.
 
This Rahat the Destroyer joke is getting old and stale now, but it is just my opinion. If people still find the humor in it, good for them.

Never been a fan of his wicket keeping ability. Did drop us the last odi Asia cup by dropping a regulation catch of Ajmal’s Bowling and the batsman went on to score a century and win his country an Asia cup. Can’t recollect the name of the batsman
 
Azhar being a senior player in the team, won't face any penalty on dropping those catches. It shatters the morale of a bowler. And may be that's why Amir doesn't want to play Test Cricket. In england, Hafeez and Azhar did the same. I wonder if Azhar is even fit to play in the team. He has become a sort of meme now, with the drop catches.

Rahat is completely useless ... avg of 38 and climbing with SR of 70+ ... how can one possibly justify his selection? mind boggling meanwhile Sadaf & Mir Hamza rot in FC! :facepalm:

He was one of our better slip fielders when he started of but his reflexes seem to hv deteriorated hence has been dropping catches in slips lately ..
 
It’s easy for the bowlers in morning sessions
We will run through Ireland in the morning

These are ideal conditions for Sadaf. Tall and can swing the ball both ways with good control, hence his great record in both formats. The biggest injustice happened to a cricketer in Pakistan.

Rahat can swing the bowl and every now and then you see Rahat bowling a beauty. But his problem is his poor control and lack of heart.
 
Good response from Ireland. It will be important how they play the spinner, especially as the sun bakes the pitch.

As for Pakistan, what is the point of Rahat Ali? Especialy when you have Hasan on the bench.
