These are ideal conditions for Sadaf. Tall and can swing the ball both ways with good control, hence his great record in both formats. The biggest injustice happened to a cricketer in Pakistan.

Rahat can swing the bowl and every now and then you see Rahat bowling a beauty. But his problem is his poor control and lack of heart.

If he can't take wickets then he simply doesn't deserve to be in the team ... don't care about jaffas here and there ... He has been an awful bowler, avgd. 50 last time out in England yet still got picked because of 'PSL'

15 drops in 17 matches is ridiculously high. I am not a superstitious person at all however I can see the correlation between a drop catch and the bowler being Amir.

Good response from Ireland. It will be important how they play the spinner, especially as the sun bakes the pitch.

As for Pakistan, what is the point of Rahat Ali? Especialy when you have Hasan on the bench.

Would like to have been a fly on the wall when that decision was being made.

1) Face off between Rahat and Abbas for who plays against Eng
2) Just extra rest for Hassan Ali
3) The management actually rate Rahat And Abbas higher??

Omggg... in 17 matches, 15 dropped catches? The fact that we are counting these catches is a travesty itself, where was the dropped catches excuse from 10 matches from the Australia series to UAE (WI) and WI and then Srilanka (UAE) where he failed to perform in all of them... This excuse only comes up when he gets catches dropped and then we get the hubris about dropped catches holding back amir..

So apparently Amir is being stopped from fulfilling his promise, but all this is absent when he isn't performing and continues to play regardless, and has been the worst bowler on show for us for a whole year... after 10 games we got back to square one about dropped catches stopping amir when he infact has averaged 47 since his comeback

We should make a list of dropped catches off all bowlers in this time to actually make this a relevant arguement about Amir... what I see is excuses because Amir is already a rare sight in the wickets column, everytime he picks up a wicket its counted as 10 by his fans, and his dropped catches are also exagerrated when its a proven fact that he took out the same batsman later on and shouldn't add up to his total tally of wickets

I've noticed Azhar isn't the sharpest in the slips at all!!

Azhar thinks falling back is mandatory to complete a catch. I have noticed him practicing this for below knee catches even.

Yea you can see that Shadab is tired. He is not used to bowling this many overs in a day.

This is why I love Yasir Shah's bowling in Tests. He is a stallion and bowls half of our overs in a day.

Agreed. Bowlers rarely enjoy having to do two stints in a row, it was unnecessary, we could have won easily anyway.

If there’s no play on first day of a test match then the follow on target is reduced by 50 runs..

I guess as match was reduced to 4 days without it being started, follow on for 4 days was adjusted accordingly as can be seen in 4 day first class cricket.

If we can make Pakistan bat again I'd consider that a success. The dream would obviously be a lead of 100 or so. Amir being injured will be a bonus and evens out Wilsons injury.

Well definitely Ireland will make Pakistan bat again. 100-120 lead will put immense pressure on Pakistan

And besides Amir Pakistan should learn that they defo need Hassan. Rahat has been awful
