Ireland can beat lesser teams like India or South Africa and may wallop minnows like England. They are really talented and play with their hearts on their sleeves.
 
Pak should look to finish it off today itself.

Just knock off the remaining tailenders and bat with intent.

Yes, although it was always tough to beat a top team like Pakistan but nevertheless they fought well.

You guys have absolutely no capacity to take banter.... must be really fun at parties. We are missing Indian posters like street cricketer and sensible-indian who would take posts like these in their stride and give some back too, all in good fun.

a 100 at home ground by Kevin o brien against a minnow team doesnt count for anything.
 
Number 9 batsman has played 33 balls and we couldn't dismiss him... its not like Kev is hiding him or anything

It’s not a big deal. It’s only against no 7. I want to see him scoring against one of the teams. Until then he is an average batsman for me.:)

OH MY GAWD!! In his FIRST TEST of the FIRST TEST in his country's TEST HISTORY to play a knock of that manner goodness me, I don't care this is the greatest innings of all time, no one has ever thrived in an occasion of such a HUGE MAGNITUDE with so many obstacles to overcome under the huge international spot light and immense pressure! In all my years of watching cricket not even Sachin Tendulkar has shown such individual brilliance and mental fortitude on the pitch, congrats to Kevin once again! he most certainly does not score soft runs :sachin
 
So many cynical people wrote Ireland off after a couple of days, many fools questioned their Test status before it even commenced! but they say NO ON THIS DAY! ON THIS DAY WE FIGHT FOR PRIDE, HONOUR AND DIGNITY!

Get a lead of 200 (no reason they won't get that seeing how impotent Pakistan's bowlers are) and then let Murtagh and Rankin rip through their batting in overcast conditions tomorrow.
 
im getting bad feeling . we will be chasing 200 i guess and we will be done and dusted
 
Been really poor stuff from Coach and possibly captain. Who picks Rahat over Hasan? A batsman at 7 was needed over a bowler, Faheem offers nothing with the ball. And most importantly, who decides to follow on at the end of the day when conditions eased up? A rest for the bowlers, allow the batsmen to get some runs on the board and push the lead to 400, and then start bowling them out in the morning.

So many tactical mistakes, just the basic ones. We're seeing this time and again in tests especially and it's getting irritating. Mickey probably has some effect in getting the best out of players, and coaching them, but actual team selection he seems to make the wrong decisions every time. It's baffling too, they're such obvious decisions. Play a 2nd spinner on a spinning pitch. Don't choose to follow on in the evening when bowlers aren't rested and pitch has eased up, wait for tomorrow morning to have a crack at it. Incredibly easy stuff.
