This is a chance for Multan Sultans to break the streak of defeats which has seen them drop to 3rd position in the points table. But Islamabad United with their batting firepower (aka Azam Khan) stands in the way. Ihsanullah will be the key for Multan if they are to get back to their winning ways, but Rizwan's batting powerplay performances will come under scrutiny as well - this could be a subplot to watch.

Tim David back for MS. Rizwan should be playing all 4 of his premier overseas batters: Rossouw, Miller, Pollard, David - that's a lot of firepower. We might see the opening partners change today

Islamabad United have won the toss and opted to field against Multan Sultans in Match 24

No middle order development of Pak players in Multan

Riswan batting at 200+ S/R

Sarkar Rana , are you ok? :yk3

What's wrong with Rizwan in this innings. Still can't avoid criticism

Can’t really fault Rizwan tbf

At least he was trying for once

Poor Rizwan

Forced to bat first. Knowing he has 4 megaladon middle order T20 batsmen on a road. Couldn’t take his time to score a personal milestone

He won’t be very happy today

Shan is the real problem tbh

Rizwan played well and enough balls for others to post big total with a good power play start

Mubasir is bowling well, but he is just getting unlucky due to other players

Multan are about to explode but i dont think they have enough power in their bowling

Shan is such a wannabe. I think he overestimates his importance at the crease.

He runs so hard calling 2 from the word get go with David jogging through. As if David is actually going to come back for him.

These are good boundaries for Shan whilst Shakeel Sheikh and Najam Sethi are watching

He could be playing himself into a captaincy role here

This strategic timeout - when is it actually taken? Sometimes I see it taken after 16th over, sometimes 10th, sometimes 12th. There's no set standard. Is this the umpires prerogative or the bowling/batting side takes it? I have no clue.

Simon doul has to be the dumbest commentator for t20. WHy would a batter retire when he is strking the ball at a strike rate of 150+. What gurantee is there that the incoming batter will strike with the higher strike rate.

Poor stuff from PSL management for hiring such poor commentators.

Simon Doull always calling Pakistani batsmen to d strategic retirement. What if the big boys like Russow fail.

As far as I rememeber its fielding captain, but I could be wrong.

Yes David would have run harder if Sharjeel was running two instead… :))

Welcome back Tim David hahahahhaha

What a man!

This clown should be shown the door. Let’s see him call out his players.

Simon Doull getting hate for speaking the truth about Misbah type players :)))

Lame ending. MS were 173 in16 overs , well set for a good 225-230type total but settling for 205 in the end. Islamabad would fancy their chances here.

The difference here Misbah is that Sharjeel actually won’t run hard for the two because he’s looking for boundaries

50 balls

Zero sixes on one of the smallest grounds in the world

Thank God we have Simon Doull as a commentator!

#strategicRetirement

Multan has a rubbish bowling attack. If Islamabad play sensibly, they can easily win this. Ilyas is a terrible weak link.

Riley and Miller combined were 26 of 24. No one is having a go at them.

Anyone who speaks the honest truth about the game is rubbish according to a particular school of thought fans

It wasn't honest. The batter got out, the next man in was not able to deliver. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't

No one said anything about being rubbish. The point was that there is no guarantee that the next man in will deliver over a set batter so one has to calculate.

This is a pitch where you have to set the tone with the new ball

You have a 150kmh bowler. Use him for the first over!!’

Ah yes there is no gaurentee…they have just built up strike rates of 150+ out of thin air having not played the game for up to a decade?

Hahaha Mark Butcher suggesting Ilyas fielding there to protect the car. I swear in my childhood where we used to play in the building, we specifically put fielders only to protect the cars. Thanks Butcher for taking me down memory lane.

Your best bowler needs to bowl the hardest overs. Over number 1 and 7 are usually the easiest overs to bowl in T20. Why would you waste those overs on your best bowler.

Multan is defending 205 which they can by containing them.

As is, Anwar Ali only went for 9 in the first over. You have him bowl the 3rd -6th over and watch him disappear for 25.

current batter was already at 150, and the next man in played at 120. So yes there is no guarantee.

So why is Shaheen bowling over 1? You can peg a couple if you land it right

IU’s top 3 set the tone for the inexperienced middle order

Hales what are you doing mate?

This is club level bowling you are struggling against

Ilyas getting away with a 3 run over is criminal

Against Hales and Gurbaz too!!

Because Shaheen can swing the ball. So you need someone to take advantage of the swing. Plus he has a phenomenal 1st over record. Ihsanullah cannot swing the ball. No point of him taking the 1st over.
