Depends where the bowler bowls most of his overs. 35 in SA must be utter rubbish just like 35 is very mediocre for a spinner in India. 35 in India or even Pakistan or Srilanka is not very bad.

Anderson at 30 bowling a lot in seaming conditions in England isn't special. 30 for an Indian fast bowler would be pretty decent however.

In a series we didn't care about.

After the humiliation we inflicted on India during the test series, we had to let India win something, otherwise the BCCI would have withdrawn Team India from all competitions to save themselves from the shame.

We were doing the Indian public a favour.
 
Jimmy is a good bowler, but I am surprised he still doesn't average under 30 after 10 years of international cricket, especially when he has played alot of cricket in England.

Such a shame that you haven't won a World Cup yet, despite having such a legendary team all the time. And India despite having such a poor team has won the World Cup twice. Truly a travesty!!

Nor are you the WC holders that is India who you call minnows.
Nor are you top in the Test or ODI Rankings.

So no you aren't the best team, SA would still trounce you home and away.
Pakistan would trounce you in the U.A.E.

What a beautiful bowler. No better sight in cricket today than watching him in full flow.

He needs to tutor Steyn on bowling inswingers and reversing the ball. Seems a generous guy, won't charge him much.
 
He's ridiculously skilled. He should have had at least 5 wickets with his opening spell yesterday. Better than Asif nowadays.

He was great yesterday. The best thing about him is his ever willingness to improve and learn. He seems to have worked hard on his death bowling to be able to help England in ODIs and T20s. This despite the fact that, statistically he would be in a different league to all English bowlers by the team he retires in the real format of the game.

He is also a real team player.The joy he exudes when Broad/Timothy pick wickets is delightful to watch for the purveyors of team sports.

Ronchi will qualify to play for New Zealand having been born there, although his family moved to Perth when he was six years old.

We didn't import, he was born in NZ and lived here for 6 years..
 
He learnt his cricket in Australia and has previously represented the full Australian national side, as well as Australia A.

He's an import.

Aye, bouyed up by their heroic nil-nil home non-victory, they came over here, got oblitered in the tests, won a couple of JAMODIs then faded and died as soon as the MODIs started.

There is Nothing such as a JAMODI and a MODI.
They are pathetic phrases used by idiots.
Every match is a One Day International Match and will go down in the book as a ODI.

JAMODI and MODI just makes the poster look like a 8 year old idiotic kid.

I may be an immature, but still i am mature enough to know that using phrases like JAMODI and MODI, and also calling people "keyboard warriors" only makes the poster look foolish.

No disrespect was meant to him and i did not call him anything i was just pointing out about my opinion about the words JAMODI and MODI, if you have some problem with that then there is absolutely nothing that i can do about it.
 
This guy is a treat to watch, has an endless repertoire. deserves a sub 26 avg.
 
Class bowler. Helps that current Aussie batting is limp as a noodle. But superb bowling anyway. Will mostly end up with an average of 27-28 if he keeps this form.

bowling very well but makes me laugh when the commies now big up his ability of masterful swing blah blah blah, yet when the sub continent bowlers were able to do it, it was put down to cheating. just imagine if this game was between Pakistan and England and it was a Pakistani bowler running through the lineup......the sky cameramen would have full zoom on every Pakistani who handled the ball for the last 12 hours.......
 
Credit to him he has bowled very well today.

Still vastly overrated if anyone calls him anything other than a good Test bowler though.

I'm sorry that you are too grown-up to discern between pointless JAMODIs stuck into a schedule at the expense of gold-standard cricket (i.e. tests) and MODIs such as the World Cup and CT. Fortunately I am 12 and can see more clearly.

Profiles are only updated after the end of the Test match. If a player is currently in a match, go to the live scorecard, click Statistics tab, and then Career Averages. That is live tracking.
 
It's pretty amusing when there's a countdown to someone averaging <30 after they've been playing for 10 years :P

Mainly because if you end up bowling like Ishant Sharma in the first few years, you'd expect to be dropped and never let back in the side.

Luckily, we knew Anderson had the ability, otherwise imagine him being Sharma in the England set up.

This is also a team that still employs Broad who is also above 30.
