Mohamed Salah - Egyptian Messi

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has again returned a positive test for coronavirus while on international duty with Egypt.

The 28-year-old initially tested positive last week, despite not displaying any symptoms.

On Wednesday, the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) confirmed that Salah had been tested again and that the result was positive.

Salah is likely to miss the Reds' next two games due to self-isolation rules.

Liverpool host Leicester in the Premier League on Sunday, 22 November and welcome Atalanta in a Champions League tie on Wednesday, 25 November.

Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny has also tested positive.

Salah has started all eight of Liverpool's Premier League games this season, scoring eight goals.

Mohamed Salah: Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp reminds forward about conduct

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has spoken to forward Mohamed Salah about his conduct after he returned two positive tests for coronavirus while on international duty with Egypt.

The 28-year-old was reportedly seen dancing at his brother's wedding.

Salah, who is self-isolating, will miss Sunday's game against league leaders Leicester and is likely to miss the Champions League tie against Atalanta.

Klopp said Salah was back on Friday and the pair's relationship was "fine".

The German added: "He is in a good place. He feels well.

"There is nothing to say in public about all the things I talk to my players about but I can say in the summer I was in Germany and a friend moved his birthday party because I was there.

"There were 50 people attending. I decided at the last minute not to go and it was allowed in Germany. It was outside but I did not go.

"In other countries there is more social pressure on you and a brother's wedding is a very special moment. What I can say is that my players are all incredibly disciplined. There were some cases but they all know about the situation.

"But sometimes it doesn't work out like this and something happens, and we are in the situation we are in, but all the rest is between me and Mo, and we did that already so we are fine."

Salah has scored 10 goals in 13 games in all competitions this season.

Watched the video and I was shocked that Salah took such a big risk.

Klopp understandably unhappy with the lack of professionalism shown by Salah.

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah is back in training and could face Atalanta in the Champions League on Wednesday.

The 28-year-old missed Sunday's 3-0 win over Leicester after testing positive for coronavirus while on international duty with Egypt.

But he has since tested negative and took part in training on Monday.

Liverpool have a 100% record in this season's Champions League and will reach the last 16 if they beat their Serie A opponents.

Mohamed Salah has pledged his long-term commitment to Liverpool by saying he wants to stay at Anfield for as long as he can.

He's looked a bit subdued of late and struggled for form.

I thought he might be looking to move on from Liverpool.

Still not fully recovered from Covid & also the midfield isnt what it was , alongside Trent not playing well, he too is recovering. They are fit sportsmen so wont be too long.

LFC will offer him a new contract but I guess it depends on how well we do. City look strong to win the league, so Im guessing champions league qualification and perhaps a champions league semi or win will keep him interested.

Mo Salah: Liverpool forward says club have not yet discussed a new contract with him

Mo Salah says no one from Liverpool has approached him as yet to discuss the possibility of signing a new contract at the club.

Salah's current deal at Anfield runs until the summer of 2023 but Egypt forward says there is currently no prospect of an extension.

The 28-year-old has previously hinted his future could lie in Spanish football, with Barcelona and Real Madrid often touted as potential destinations for Salah if he were to depart Merseyside.

When asked about a potential new deal at Liverpool, Salah told Sky Sports: "No one is talking to me about that, so I can't say much about that.

"No one in the club is talking to me about anything so I do not know."

In January, Salah said he wanted to stay and continue to break records for as long as possible at Anfield and claimed he was "100 percent" committed to winning more trophies at the club.

He reiterated that desire when asked about the remaining ambitions in his career.

"I said before that I want to win the Premier League again, I want to win the Champions League again," he added.

"It's a great thing to win, I'm just trying to win it again and again. Part of our job is to win trophies."

Salah joined Liverpool from Roma for a then club-record transfer fee in 2017 and the 28-year-old has scored 120 goals in 193 matches for the club in all competitions.

Liverpool not saying much regarding a new contract for Salah.

One would think they'd be doing their best to keep him, unless they have a replacement lined-up.

Two exquisite finishes from the Egyptian King today! The first touch of this man is second to none in the world today. :salah

Those 2 finishes were vintage Salah. Amazing goals.
