really poor from Hanuma Vihari.. just need 2 runs from 2 ball and fields were wide spread and he goes for big.. he literally cost this match.. was a fantastic chase by this young Delhi team...

wow Fantastic super over by Kagiso Rabada. That was such a high pressure over. Bowling to Dre Russell in massive hitting form.
 
A pulsating encounter between Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders concluded with a Super-Over finish, as Kagiso Rabada defended a target of 11 to give the Capitals their second win of the season.

Had KKR triumphed, it would have seen to an incredible heist. The Capitals’ chase of 186, for the majority of the innings, appeared to be a stroll in the park. Shreyas Iyer and Prithvi Shaw put on 89 for the second wicket, before Rishabh Pant joined Shaw for a 54-run partnership.

When Pant departed, 16 runs were required from 13 deliveries, but the Knight Riders fought back in stunning style to force a Super Over. Shaw looked set to hit his first IPL century but a short ball from Lockie Ferguson saw to a top-edge flying high and into the hands of Dinesh Karthik behind the stumps, ending the 19-year-old’s innings on 99.

A superb final over from Kuldeep Yadav culminated with a final-ball run-out with the scores level.

Delhi batted first in the Super Over, and while Prasidh Krishna removed Shreyas Iyer with his third delivery, Pant managed to take Delhi to double-figures.

In reply, KKR sent Andre Russell and Karthik out to bat, both of whom had starred earlier in the day. In the Knight Riders’ first batting display of the game, Karthik hit a 36-ball 50, while Russell smashed 62 from just 28 deliveries, continuing his sensational run with the bat in this season’s competition.

When Russell then deposited Rabada’s opening ball for four – expertly finding the vacant midwicket boundary – it seemed as if the West Indian all-rounder was to be KKR’s hero once more.

Rabada responded expertly with an onslaught of yorkers, with his third ball of the over uprooting Russell's middle stump. Robin Uthappa and Karthik proved unable to find the boundary as Capitals ran out winners, concluding a brilliant match.

I listen to an Australian cricket podcast and they were talking about the IPL. 1 of the hosts is a journalist who has watched a majority of the games so far and has said the quality is high. Also cricket Australia Facebook page posts regularly about the IPL.

Stop making up lies.
 
What an innings from Shaw . I think this could be the year where Delhi finally make the play offs.

SRH flaying the mediocre RCB bowling attack.

If I remember well, this year RCB seems to have even weaker team than what they had in past. But either way, the issue is definitely with team man management and captaincy not being able to produce the required output even with a solid team, this team although, it is not that good.

RCB needed a complete makeover years ago. Kaptaan is **** and team selection including auction is beyond ****.
 
This was some hitting. Kohli what a pathetic captain lol It happens only to him more often than not in the IPL. He is never gonig to win anything for RCB. This is not such a high scoring ground.

Team selection is extremely poor as always, they just don't seem to have any idea of how to compose a team and how to pick players around. They just don't have any cricketing sense, they are just using a great city brand and the following to run their business.
 
btw fantastic fantastic innings by both Bairstow and Warner.. I'd rate Warner innings higher coz out of 55 ball he's faced only 5 dot balls by him where Bairstow has 15+..

Kaptaan is always given more importance than due. Let him do as he wants. If he fades then we can replace him and make that replacement ready for 2023 WC.

They have the worst of our pacer Umesh (last choice after bumrah,shami,bhuvi) and not even one single promising young Indian batsman or even overseas player. Worst cricketing management.
 
People got cross with me when I called RCB, a minnow.

This is how minnows play. And not just today.
 
Virat kohli is absolutely the worst captain ever in the IPL history. Their team sucks every season even with good players. Teams with average players like Kaul, Sandeep sharma are doing far better.
 
This is not just about making fun of a certain IPL team, he is captain of Indian team and it is affecting our team and one of our premier ATG player. If Kohli was playing under serious owners he would have got his tail cut and it would have done well to even Indian team. He will continue to depend on Dhoni...
 
Karnataka original cricket team is doing alright this is not about getting emotional about certain city

Which is what happens when you let kohli run the show. They need to get rid of him if they wish to win anything in next 5-6 years.
 
Seriously Rajastan should give Unadkat a water bottle and brag about they've highest paid water boy.. how the **** he managed to fetch 10+ crores in auction not once but twice..

Smith Failed. What is it with CSK team that no one can beat them? Not that they have some superstars playing and most CSK players are 30+. Yet year after year they beat teams consists of superstars like Kohli AB, Smith etc for fun. Whats it with CSK team that makes them almost invincible and no one manage to get top of them?
 
Stokes proves again that he is a limited overs format bottler.

Good in tests though.

Thala Dhoni and the way he operates with the given resources. No other captain in IPL would have thought of using all the 4 overs of Chahar upfront. MSD is legend for a reason.

Dhoni has been bowled in this match but bail didn't come off.. So yeah the luck is with him all through these years.. One or another way they find a way to win the match..
 
I just saying that MSD is born with incredible luck and he made full use of it..
 
Our experience wins us the game. Great knock from MSD and Bravo wins the game with the ball.
 
How a player like Unadkat gets millions bucks is beyond me. Single handedly lost the game for Royals.

Not entirely true. In crunch moments his field sets, instructions, playing percentage cricket he was very good. I am sure few captains would have bottled in that situation.
