Mumbai Indians defeat Chennai Super Kings by one run to win IPL title

There are a lot of poor teams that play the world cup. lol Not sure which team is going to face the wrath of Pandya.

Russell averages 28.. Teams will be trembling against him ofcourse. He hasnt batted against BD in a one dayer so far. In the two short outings in T20 he smashed Fiz in one of the match.
 
lol Ashwin stopped bowling twice and Saha was in both time.. seriously Ashwin was looking for Mankad there... hope SRH mankaded one of Rahul or Gayle today...
 
SRH on 134/1 after 13th over.. hope they won't collapse like last two game.. can easily get at least 190 from here...

Rahul fighting hard single hand here , he looks in good form , India should play him at number 4 in WC.
 
Rahul I think has played some selfish innings in this IPL to claim his spot in WC playing XI. If that was the case then he should have pushed down to No.4 and played all 14 matches in that spot to get accustomed to that batting position! Mayank is also an opener and he looked far aggressive and intent, probably could have given better chance for Punjab to score more runs!

This IPL season is the best example of how Rahul would have become an accomplished, dependable & consistent batsman had he played for some lesser teams (batting-wise)! That's why I keep telling that threads on PP such as Rahul vs. Babar doesn't make any sense at all, because they are playing in different teams and with different pressures!

Rahul could have easily averaged more than 50+ in all formats and also could have won some matches on his own (when everything falls in his place which is likely to happen at times especially if you have a good bowling unit - KXI Punjab don't really have it!) The competition in Indian team (even if people tell that we are relying on Rayudus, Karthiks, Shankars, etc for middle order) is what reduced his impact!
 
RCB is officially out of IPL knockout stage.
So Kohli and Chahal gonna get months rest eh?
Hopefully they do not get injured ... doing nothing :))

They should head back straight to England and start practicing! Mohammad Siraj can captain RCB for the last game :)
 
It rained only yesterday! No rain today in Bangalore (at least in my area). I think it is more than skills/captaincy for RCB's fortunes in IPL (10 toss losses as well...!) Curse of Mallya I guess (even though he is not a part of it anymore!)

RCB should make some major change definitely next year (either the franchisee, the management, the captain or at least name change like DC!)

Kaptaan is little too "special" in mind.

Head Coach has no T20 credentials.

I'm not qualified enough to identify more problems.

Yes when the likes of raydu, jadav, karthic are preferred over him. Shows what kind of pressure he is in.

Everyone is aware of Dhoni's sixes in international cricket. Lets see how many sixes Hardik Pandya hits in the World Cup. I am saying this because Pandya is a bigger player than Dhoni now and he is the best allrounder in the world. Whole world will be looking up to him. I hope he can perform like Lance Klusener did in 1999 World Cup.

Too bad Rishabh Pant is not in the team otherwise we will be looking forward to count his sixes in the world cup also. I would have expected him to bat like Gilchrist of 2003 World Cup. There is always a next time. Don't worry. :inti

Nabi played well but his dismissal was the difference btw Dhoni and other finishers.. he never chase a wide deliveries, he always let it go whatever the situation is and get extra run and extra runs...
 
whose idea was that open with Manish... That was bad movement, he even not really get chance to breath..
 
Vijay Shankar failed again with the bat tonight - and for the 5th match in a row he didn't even get to bowl an over. Sure it's a different format but it doesn't bode well for the World Cup.

Bowling him at Wankhede vs Pandya and Pollard etc is the type of thing RCB would do. Williamson is million times smarter.
 
How I miss Manish Pandey the player in the national side! I don't even want him to have a power game for the #4 slot, but unfortunately he's mentally not strong just like KL and couldn't make use of the opportunities he got. He's a kind of fielder who does some unthinkable things on field just in the mould of Jadeja and a million times better player than Rayudu. If only the Rat had given Pandey more opportunities and devoloped this lad into a better batsman!!! He's the perfect #4 for India but went off the radar quickly.

Manish has developed "bad" batting habits our Kaptaan recently talked about.

His footwork almost vanished against the fast bowlers. His first choice shots bacame horizontal bat baseball swings. All this for bit of power in the T20.

I too had hoped he would at least become a FTB like our Kaptaan as both were similar players when they were young but Kaptaan learners to feast on flat tracks and weak bowlers and Manish will spend his life jumping IPL teams.

Oh. Kaptaan was not talking about Manish only. Indian team has dumped him long ago. They have moved on.

But Kaptaan had observed this trend in some young players. During IPL the players were going away from their game. Iyer and Manish were allegedly the target of his criticism.

Iyer went back to Amre to correct himself. I don't think Manish is really interested in longer formats anymore.

Rashid Khan has declined drastically! He was lethal in the last season! He is no more dangerous to handle! I wish he learns to stay a bit humble, his body language is like he is some legend, huh! His fellow-mate Nabi has been more effective this time... Even Harbhajan has bowled well this season... (CSK has used him smartly though!)

Kaptaan is alright with the bat! In fact he will become much better as soon as he is relieved from the kaptaan role! He is not a FTB... (even Sachin was accused like that! This is because these guys will be so good on flat tracks compared to helpful tracks! Is it a crime on their part to get some flat tracks & make most of those? People tend to expect them the same way to bat everywhere! If so, then they will become immortals and even bowling machines with programmed line, length, swing, spin won't be able to affect them!)

In world cup Dhoni won't even hit one third of the total sixes he hit in ipl 2019.
Pandya will be among the top six hitters of world cup 2019. I can bet on that.
You do not have an eye for talent veeru bhai that's why you ridicule a super talent like pant. As far as playing in world cup is concerned don't worry he will play his first world cup at a younger age than dhoni.
You are a rainbow cricket fan that's the reason you keep performances in limited overs above performances in test cricket. Start watching test matches, trust me they are better than all these rainbow cricket matches.

First he should ask his idol why he is using IPL to keep up Dhoni brand name! Why not play Test Cricket instead! If glorious people like Dhoni forbid IPL, then IPL will automatically vanish on its own! He should suggest that to his idol :)

Just like most of the time you are not making any sense again. Kapil Dev is not a n active player and he is not available for selection like Dhoni so thats a pretty weak comeback by you.

Most of you have a habit of contradicting yourself. You have a problem when someone calls Pant a tullaybaaz and think he is not going to succeed in international cricket. But here you yourself are acting like a fortune teller and predicting that Pandya will hit more sixes than Dhoni lol?

Obviously any fan with a brain will keep performances in LOI's above test performances for an important event like World Cup. Using your logic we should also select Ishant Sharma, Murali Vijay, Rahane for World Cup lol.

I saw the trailer of fans like you who were cussing Pandya during that coffee with karan incident. Thats how low some of you fans can go. The way you are criticizing and mocking a budding player and an important player (considering his role!) isn't sensible either! Even Lance Klusener took 3 years to create the magic he did and didn't last longer after that - has just 2 centuries & 19 fifties in ODIs (saying this because you expect pure batsman and pure bowler like performances from alrounders! The definition of alrounder, I guess is different for you! Its better ODI is played for just 40 overs and only 4 bowlers bowl 10 overs so that 5th bowler don't come to equation at all! There is a reason why they have 7th batsman/5th bowler quotient in cricket to spice up things and its difficult to fit a player in that role!) A seasoned alrounder like Jacques Kallis couldn't contribute like Lance Klusener in world cups! Even Neil Johnson of Zimbabwe did mini miracle compared to that. Its a rare breed (even for Non-SC teams to produce these type of players and draw effective contributions from them! For e.g., Marcos Stoinis didn't perform even 50% of Pandya in IPL, I know you won't consider/rate performances of players in this league! That's why I asked you why Dhoni is giving so much importance to this league and using it as a tool to keep himself alive?)

But these younger players should not be given any opportunity to showcase their talent, because IPL has to be banned and then Dhoni & co will continue to block the way and don't give them opportunity to even knock the doors (because nobody cares for any other domestic leagues in the country, and usually they will be mocked as flat track bullies or useless cricketers - For e.g., Jadeja who got like thousand triple centuries in Ranji! Anyhow he at least learnt how to bowl & field after being frustrated about his batting!) and suddenly one day they joyfully retire and someone else is thrown into the position who behave like frog thrown into the ocean!

You certainly have not observed the faster growth of players like Bumrah, Kuldeep, Pandya, Pant, Kohli (RCB as player in the earlier editions), etc and what IPL did to them and what other domestic cricket couldn't do to them (with all due respect to Domestic Cricket which made them proper players first up, but it's about the next level - the intermediate level) And its sad to see the negative part of IPL where players like Dhoni have used to extend their career by relishing on weaker teams (weaker players/oppositions). But you are not commenting on that...
