Don't worry, when and if Rahul becomes PM, he will also not give any interviews. He hardly interacts with his own party carders, you think he would give time to television channels?
Modi has been vilified by left leaning media for years. The likes of NDTV, Rajdeep, Barkha and Dr Roy had made a career out of it. After becoming the PM, he made a conscious effort to not give air time to any of these biased journalists. He gave few interviews to various other channels like Times Now, Republic, Aaj Tak, ABP, Zee, India TV etc but not to these leftist qabal. He created his own 'Mann ki baat' episodes instead from where he speaks directly to the people instead of going via media.
Also, not sure how old you are but Modi speaking spontaneously in public or tv channels is not an issue. Infact, his oratory and debating skills is the reason where he is today. In mid-late 90s, when he was a small spokesperson of BJP, he used to appear tv debates daily. That time only NDTV (then called Star India) was the only news channel where prime time debates used to take place. It was hosted by Arnab & Rajdeep together and Modi was regular. It was only in later years he stopped interacting with media bcoz of their biased nature, not only against him but for his party.
Basically for years these channels thought congress would never go away. Go and check the 2009 election footage of NDTV, check what likes of Vinod Dua had to say about likes of Advani and how they were mocking him. That arrogance and smug totally disappeared in 2014 when Modi became the biggest superstar of the country. His 1 episode in App Ki Adalat became the biggest hit interview in India of all time. Such was his popularity and craze. Every channel wanted him for their TRP but Modi ji ensured these biased channels who harassed him for years won't get a dime from him. The funniest of all is, he finally called a PC before 2019 elections and didn't say a word
