Pakistani fans have been reduced to supporting Bangladesh at Pindi for their slim chances.

How the mighty have fallen. Their pride and dignity, forgotten

Very hard for us to get result in this match. May the last CT match against the kiwis give strength to the players

They haven't fallen. They're out doing shopping in Dubai before boarding the flight back.

The players have sold their pride and dignity long back. How can I forget Babar and Imam doing designer-wear shopping for the wives on the final day in India after being knocked out in group stages during the previous ODI world cup.

Babar has a wife?

NZ chose to field. How's the pitch? All Pak leg matches have been high scoring. Anything less than 320 will be hard to defend. Our batting can't score 300 period

Kiwis are too tough for Bangladeshis. Pak should have won against NZ. The group would have been very tight and interesting if Pak had won agains NZ

New Zealand have won the toss and have opted to field

Good to see the useless captain is opening again he is useless at 3, open and make space for someone else coming into the XI.

Tanzid is another useless geezer who has an average of 20 After 22 ODI matches, even for post 2011 BD standards it is extreme low! Its like the BD players Like from early 00’s!

they are trying to go gungho! Jeez. Learn to leave a few balls outside off theres two new balls, its odi’s!!! Be patient early on. yes it’s a belter of a wicket, but you can still take a little time to settle

The interest drop in Pak after yesterday is palpable. Ain't no body watching this match even tho if Bangla wins we have a mathematical chance

Thus the batting is like the early 00s. Bowling is the only saving grace

Tanzid needs to be binned for good. Useless player with zero iq. Are ultra pathetic against spin. Few flashy shots doesnt make you a good batsman in ODI’s.

Tanzid is a very talented hitter of pace bowling.

But averages 10 against offspin and promptly gets dismissed by Bracewell

Tanzid has played 23 ODI matches averaging 20. Unacceptable. Even Anamul Haque scored a winning ODI ton within his first 3 ODI matches against Windies! Tanzid has done nothing of importance in 23 ODI matches. Safe to say Liton Das will be back next ODI series.

Tanzid has that X factor at the top. He scores fast. Just needs to learn give value to his wicket

Latham, KW types are not great players either of leg spin or left arm seam bowlers. Even Phillips is weak against leg spin.

This might come into play if the score in 350..we at best will score 270-80...in reality th3e actual might be way less than 270

PAK against NZ – 22/2 (10 overs)

BAN against NZ -58/1 (10 overs)

Clear difference in intent and approach

He only has to improve his spin play. Otherwise he's a very gifted batter and only 24 years old.

This should be the approach.Look at Australia against England. They lost 2 wickets for 27 chasing a mammoth total still they maintained a health run rate all throughout

wth was that lol. What an easy soft catching practice. Confused is what these men are. The top order dont know to pace odi innings. Mehidy went into t20 mode.batting At 3 u got to accumulate runs, steady the ship not be the aggressor.

He is not number 3, they want to make him shakib, he is not even discount shakib

Commentators said its a belter of a pitch, one minute its a good track, then its holding up, slowing down, then its tricky to play such shots on a wicket like this. What is then! Is a slow low wicket or flat highway?!!

Frequently changing top order makes these chaotic batting

For some strange reasons our batting cant maintain intent all throughout the innings. 320 is a mammoth tasks for us. Will be happy if they can put 270

Mehidy is not a #3. In fact, shouldn't play ODI cricket outside BD.

It’s not nz pacers. They are nothing special

O rourke included

It’s their spinners that are dangerous

Bracewell
Santner
Philllips is the best spin trio

You know when Bangladesh and Pakistan bats you will get the feeling that its a two paced wicket, not so easy to bat. But when Australia, India,NZ bats on same wicket the same pitch will look like a belter

NZ making the same mistake that English seamers made against Australia. Bowling too short.

Good length and the strike rate goes down to 48.

Even when O Rourke bowled 147 kph, the short ball was deposited by Shanto.

Cannot bowl short on flat Pindi, Lahore pitches

Mehidy seems like has the technique to bat at 3, but seen him rush things and gets out like a tailender. A number 3’s job role is such he must understand. Needs to learn the position importance. Your job is to steady the ship, tick along, yes put the bad ball away but don’t try anything too risky. As the innings goes along you can accelerate . . You choose wisely who you attack. As a number 3 you got to be prepared to bat long, batting through as long as possible.

Everything will be clear when NZ comes to play

Bangladesh opening has been a issue for long time. Hence why I think BD will never opener like Tamim Iqbal! He was the best ever BD produce. Technically and shots selection wise. But he has let his nation down by choosing not to return when the captain and bcb wanted him back. All politics related. He could’ve given another few years service or at least played one last icc event. Am sure he thinks if he returns people will accuse him of getting rid of Shakib in order to return to BD XI. God knows. But its a shame!

Nasser Hussain is obsessed with size. Ask him how big was Sachin who scored all the runs? He keeps going about BD players size like as if they are all dwarfs like Mushfiq and Temba. Cricket batting is all about strong forearms, upper body strengths, if you dont have that then you rely on other areas to generate power to hit big. There is decent size there in BD side, they just dont have the quality cricketing mindset and hitting ability. Sabbir Rahman is the only proper big hitting stroke player, Liton das can too but lately has gone off.

Another short ball and Shanto hits a tennis forehand down the ground

Wallahee… I cannot wait to see Mushfiq retire! Thanks for the service. Time is overdue to go. And Mahmudullah. Others needs more chances mid - lower mid order in ODI’s like Sabbir Rahman, Shamim Potawari, Sheikh Mehidy.

Sabbir scored a brilliant knock in BPL than faded away again. I don't think he is the answer

Bangladesh are just poor players of spin. If Rohit hadn't dropped a simple catch, Axar could have had a hat trick against them

How can that be ? They grow on heavy diet of low slow wickets and spinners ? Are they so pathetic ?
Best players of spin were Mushy and Shakib maybe and both are finished.

To be honest, I have no idea how they are this bad against spin.

But then again, they have been a very poor ODI side for 2 years now and are just bad at everything.

When we play there should be a rule. Other countries lowest ranked domestic team will bowl and national team will bat and field. I think that will be enough for the opposite team. They can also rest their main bowlers

He batted well again last bpl coming lower down. Am talking about mid-lower order batting. Jaker at 5, Sabbir at 6 and Shamim at 7, will work. Shamim needs chances as the finisher.

If we go back to sabbir than we will stay as where we are currently. Just my opinion, you can disagree but I don't think sabbir, anamul, mithun etc are the answer..what is the answer? I really don't know
