New Zealand (259 & 255) beat India (156 & 245) convincingly in the 2nd Test by 113 runs to seal a 3-Test series victory (2-0) with one match remaining

Well bowled by NZ spinners, exerting the pressure from both ends.

All on this partnership.

Kumble wanted Rahul to be retained in this test's XI over Sarfaraz in the name of continuity.

Well done Jumbo.

If Babar had previously accomplished similar to what Kohli has, forget 5 year failures, Babar would be safe for likely a decade of failures.

Don't bring Pak fans and media into this, not relevant whatsoever, instead look at what Kohli has previously done for India vs Babar for Pakistan.

Babar is the equivalent of Asad Shafique right now, if not worse.
Babar did more than any Pak batter post Misbah and Younis i.e 8 years.

India got able replacements for Kohli and their side would do much better without him yet he's not held accountable

India is finished lmao
Can't play spin
Rohit kohli no show

Gill did average.

It's over

That's why I kept on saying drop the old clowns. Drop them now drop them 3 years back but no. Suffer now.

Congrats on series win nz. Useless rohit kohli etc. Need wholesale changes.

So our 'famed' batsmen born and brought up on staple diet of spin, can't play Santner who averages 42+ in test?

I told everyone. India hit their golden stride for the world cup.

They are now finished. They were never in the race to compete against classic Australia.

They are making spinning tracks but can't even play opposition's part timers.
Kohli and Rohit needs to give lots of answers after this test.
Won't see Kohli completing 10k test runs.

Rohit is overrated captain for sure. He was very ordinary in t20 final also but Bumrah and Pandya somehow saved his ass that day.

I think India prefer NZ to be the team that hands them their first home series loss in ages.

I would love to see a NZ series win ngl. This is not even the best NZ team to tour India in the last decade. Would be quite an achievement if they manage it. But I don't think India is out of the game just yet.

You are right sir. We need to chop the dead wood. Hut then I said about 4 years back to drop kohli rohit kl rahul etc. All of them.

We are late

Will be a huge upset if we win even 1 Test in BGT.
Yes, first test always lose... after that play catch up... but this time Australia seems to have scheduled the series to ensure a win and not ensure more money in their coffers (personal view)

This series India will have a tough time.

Wow, we are witnessing something historic, India are on the verge of losing a home series after years.
And the defeat is to NZ out of all teams.

Signs of real ageing in the side - Rohit, Kohli, Ashwin and Jadeja.

Turners always pose the risk of toss becoming too crucial. It played well for first 50-60 overs
This pitch isn't turning square. the main issue is the uneven bounce. Normal deliveries are coming at toe height and with lower bounce. Pant's swing would have resulted in a six on any other pitch, but here the ball didn't bounce at all. Similarly, Ashwin's LBW was at toe height

Sadly its ageing time. It is what it. Part of life.

Next gen should step up.
Next gen will step up if they are given a chance. If oldies keep on hogging places in the XI forever, how'll they gain any experience of international cricket?

WHy India prepared such a pitch if they themselves cannot bat on it. :danish

I believe they prepared this pitch before the first match's outcome, underestimating New Zealand's batting and their spinners, especially after their recent loss to Sri Lanka. This decision has backfired, which is pathetic. India has the capability to beat New Zealand on a normal pitch in the subcontinent. there was no need to take such a gamble.

NZ deserve this win if you consider their whole history as an inspired cricketing nation! (Considering there are not many competitve nations in world playing this game!)

Gambhir as coach is a failed experiment! (Dravid - everyone felt could fail - but he was reasonably successful...!) Coaching/captaining an IPL team vs. dealing with a national team is different... IPL owners will control most things including player selection & managerial issues...

Omg are we going to lose a home series to New Zealand?
Certainly looks like it... It was bound to happen sometime... We neglected grooming test-quality batsmen for a long time now, and depended on Pant & late order to bail out...

If I were an Indian fan I would be pretty embarrassed if Mitch Santner and Glenn Phillips are the bowlers that end India's long-running undefeated streak at home.

All out for 153.

Heads must roll but they won't be because of BCCI's spinelessness.
