New Zealand (281/8) defeat Pakistan (280/9) to win the 3rd ODI by 2 wickets - Take the series 2-1

Said it at the start of the match - playing 3 fast bowlers was madness here seeing what transpired in the past 2 ODIs and that playing Hasnain would weaken the team. A batter was needed in place of Hasnain and so it proved.

Pakistani management has always been the dumbest. NZ punch above their weight simply because they are the best in the game at assessing game conditions.
 
Even if Pakistan wins I think Babar should gracefully stwp down
 
Rizwan's excellent keeping has been exposed under pressure.
 
Hasnain is terrible at the death. Be it PSL or the England series when Liam Dawson carted him all over, we should've learned our lesson by now.
 
And this is why Hasnain is not a mainstay in whiteball or plays over Wasim Jr.

He's not as good of a bowler, awful in death and balls no balls often.
 
Hasnain has been with the side since 2019

He still hasn’t improved at this level
 
Phillips has been very destructive here. Has hit 4 sixes - as many as all of PAK. Hurting both PAK bowlers and Bank Alfalah with those hits.
 
With Naseem, we would've won this.
He was leagues above any other pacer this series.
 
Poor from Babar again the only bowler who looked threatening was Wasim Jr
 
Truth is we were 20 runs or so short. Our best bats got run out when we needed em out there to take the game along and get to 300+

Not sure how Hasnain is still so bad in death overs considering he's often bowling in T20 leagues around the world. Was even bowling in the Hundred but he just remains so mediocre at it.

Bad lines & length, no balls, wides. How can one forget the horror show vs England & Liam Dawson. Lack of a good slower ball really hurts him.

Rizwan is a terrible keeper who said he was good lol this fidget spinner is terrible actor and and a terrible fielder
 
To me Fakhar & Babar are responsible for this loss. Target should have been 300+ but these wasted lot of deliveries in PP. Why nobody in Pakistan can bat like Glen Phillips?? These are home conditions not SENA wickets
 
The previous over sums up current state of Pakistan cricket with on and off field politics!!!
 
As the match went on Pakistan fielders became tired and they were too slow to react. No stamina.
 
Not sure who the fielding coach but the whole coaching staff needs a change.

Our players are out there without any sort of a gameplan or awareness.
 
i would have accepted this loss had we tried the new guys tayyab and kamran in the series. you are almost playing full strength batting and still losing
 
I think Hasnain should be dropped solely on his fielding. Should be told you won't play until you improve your fielding. If he was a complete bowler then perhaps you could relax the fielding benchmark for him but he has nothing to offer apart from 3-4 overs upfront with the new ball and is a terrible death overs bowler.

Unbelievably poor. Hard to watch this. Zero effort. Zero awareness.

GP has been hogging strike since forever! No effort to keep the other batsman on strike

Gotta love the Sweet Kiwis.

Why were all the fielders not in the circle?
 
3-4 runs needed and Babar still had most men on the boundary. Sums up his clueless captaincy
