Pakistan shoudl have experimented in this series. They have missed an opportunity. Why are Babar and Rizwan playing? This is a second string of NZ team.

Indeed. I hate him as much as the next person. But he was in. And then Babar went into his shell and Abdullah lost the plot.

Babar and Rizwan have been absolutely ripped to PIECES by the media. I still don’t understand Babar’s spine and frankly his beyghairti to still come out and play 10 dots in a 350 chase.

Like everyone is reading you to shreds - your own freaking family… you have been dropped from the T20i team, heck even the Test team … the least you can do is at least show some intent.
 
That would have been a classic Babar dismissal. Everyone knows you just have to keep bowling at Babar's legside and he will get himself out eventually in some form of soft dismissal.

Abdullah Shafique's ODI SR is 81. Where are the "modern cricket" proponents slamming Shafique? Nowhere because Shafique is their darling boy. One of the most timid batsmen in the history of Pakistan cricket. Worse than even Azhar Ali
 
Babar as always, completely lost vs Bracewell. What a rubbish batsmen he is turned into nowadays. More of a meme than a batsmen at this point.

Any words on Babar and Rizwan? Or are they exempt from criticism because they were Misbah’s golden boys and T20 opening partnership?

That's what has been happening forever now.

Bdesh Zimbabwe Ireland you name it. Rizbabar imam etc always play for stat padding while bench strength never develops.
 
Babar is giving me the kind of ugly dravid vibes.dravid in poor form( especially in odis ) used to suggest pitch is doing a lot of tricks by playing dots after dots while others are making merry.
 
No hate - genuine curiosity; can the doctors on here explain Babar’s frame? His arms seem exceptionally puny. My 15 year old brother has wider bones and more muscle on his arms.

Misbah played with far more intent than Babar. Putting Babar in the same sentence as Misbah is a disrespect to the great man. He was a far better match winner than Babar can ever dream to be.
 
Oh my god Babar played an aggressive shot against the trash Bracewell? Someone please check if he is okay.
 
I feel relieved that poor Wasim Akram doesn’t have to commentate on this absolute garbage batting.

Unfortunately, even poor Grant Elliot is getting worked up over the lack of intent.

Misbah set the precedent of stat padding and pursuit of milestones. This all began during that Mohali innings of his. Before that game, I never used to see such selfishness and cowardice in any Pakistan batsman.

Babar was in the ascendancy under Mickey Arthur. That all changed when Misbah took over.

Also, it was Misbah who came up with the Rizbar opening combo in T20Is and in the process made them feel untouchable.

I completely disagree. Misbah did not play for milestones but he definitely was a man of crisis so watching cricket purely from scorecard may create that illusion. I can’t remember him ever walking out with Pakistan in a comfortable position.

If he was a milestone chaser, he’d have an ODI century. Him not having one is not because of lack of skill or because he didn’t have the opportunity had he chosen to stat pad. But that’s the thing, he didn’t. There’s a reason Misbah commands respect among true purists of the sport but Babar doesn’t.
