Shafiq is decent but we have better options
 
Indian wickets in white ball cricket are the paciest and offer more bounce than anywhere else in the subcontinent..

Going to take a bit of time for pak batters to get used to it.

I advocated for shafiq and saim ayub to open. One cam strike freely and the other can play according to the situation. They'd compliment each other well. Shafiq is far superior to imam, in test he plays longer but in t20 he can strike.

He's an important player just like saud.
 
interesting that they are persisting with the off-spinner despite getting the leftie out
 
Imam is now under pressure because Abdullah is also part of the squad. He's already fearing for his place.
He's gone early today otherwise couple of run outs were possible
 
I've said this before, Abdullah and saud were needed due to their spin play.

No need to be so negative. He's a clueless captain but not a bad player. He's a solid player of pace.

Reason I wanted Abdullah and saud was due to their spin play, with saim and tayyab at 1 and 5 due to their acceleration and haris closing our the innings at 7.

Imam, Shadab and rizwan are glaring liabilities in our squad that's the issue

I agree he's a decent player however nowhere near world class.

Fair enough with regards to Saud and Abdullah however our best player of spin is Sarfraz so he should be their with someone like Azam Khan or Danish Aziz being our finisher

He isn't worldclass but I wanted Abdullah and saud because their play against spin compliments babar with his play against fast and takes pressure of him.

If saim and tayyab were in the squad then those 2 would accelerate properly and lastly haris could finish the innings with imad striking here and their. Also no, I like sarfraz but saud and Abdullah are superior spin players lol.

As I said, Imam, Shadab and rizwan are the issue. Babar is a captaincy issue, not a player issue. He should be our no 3.

Not specifically at Hyderabad . But yeah the new ball will carry through a bit more anywhere in India than Lahore , Karachi or Rawalpindi.

That Matt Henry ball would have gone in a straight line to the middle of Imams bat back in Pakistan .

Just a bit more of pace, nip and seam in the wicket to create that false shot

Now swing for Neesham as well.
 
This is why I said saim and Abdullah should open, with tayyab as pur no 5 and haris as our finisher. Chacha is fine at no 6.

Saud at no 4.

Rizwan and imam weaken the batting due to their accumulating nature's.
 
The stadium looks brilliant....boundaries sizes also looks big.

It is unfair if the openers and no 3 can take their time to adapt and middle order batsmen have to start smashing from ball one.
 
Actually it is a sluggish wicket but our intent is always awful i mean the other day aussies made 360 or something so

Why do you have issue with everyone, so what if he scores a 100 how does it impact you? BTW not statpad as the scores do not get added to his stats, and when the tournament starts his inning here will be wiped from memory.
 
26/1 in 8 overs? This team will loose by over 100 runs by top 3 teams

I remember last time we played New Zealand in India, that was when Sharjeel light things up. Now we are stuck with Babar, Imam and Rizwan- ohh how the might have fallen
 
Well if other teams are also gonna block the opening 10 overs, Pakistan are already winners.
 
so let me this right...kiwis hasnt tried not even front line seamer boult..southee..fergusen..Milne etc and we are 30 for 1 after 10 overs..regardless how sluggish the wicket is
