77 for 5. What a quality pitch this is! Movement off the seam for the new ball on day 4.

If only we'd been able to get even 100 in that stupid first innings.
 
77/5 makes NZ a little favourite now especially given that new ball is still swinging.
 
Arguably the most valuable cricketer of the decade... In the era of T20 its so refreshing to see such a player emerging to perform at the highest level... Take a bow Rishabh Pant! Even Bumrah is not this valuable (in tests - as he is in LOIs)

NZ can feel confident now. Pant was the key... Without Pant's presence Sarfaraz wouldn't have survived...

Nobody's running through anything on a fifth day pitch in India against 3 great spinners but I suspect the truth lies in the middle.

Anything below 200 - the Kiwis are clear favourites.
200-250 anyone's game
250+ India are favourites
 
That 6 from Pant got me so excited. Have to feel for him for not getting his hundred today. What a player what a story. I thought it was near impossible to come back from the injuries that he suffered from that car accident.

India will need another 100 runs to make a match. Otherwise the match is now to NZ's way. Golden opportunity to win a test in India since they last won in 1988. All due to Rohit's decision of opting to bat first on a damp pitch

O'Rourke and Jamieson, NZ got two really tall pace bowlers who should extract good bounce. Hope he doesn't have fitness issues like Jamieson had.
 
Dont think they'll pick KL for next test - leave alone BGT ....
when you have Gill , Sarf, Devdutt, Washi Sundar kind of guys...

yep.... ready made good bowlers especially if they tour Aus and Saf...those kind of bowlers should be prospering on such pitches

They have had many such bowlers tour aus and even in nz they played aus. They get walloped all the time.

Nz got walloped even in SL.

This meek mental midget kl rahul comes into the team along with this washed up has been kohli and India now on the verge of losing the test to nz.
 
It's been a seriously good Test match so far.

I think India could put a lot of pressure on NZ even with a lead of 150ish. They might not win but it won't be easy.
 
It is very much possible for NZ to finish off the game today itself. Jadeja and Ashwin have a huge task ahead.
 
We are not going to add more than 30 runs from here .

i just checked the cricketing schedule....
Can't believe we have a t20 series in between the Nz series and Aus series....
And effectively including BD tests, we will be playing 10 tests in about 12 weeks with two t20 series (BD and SAF) _ sandwitched...
basically one test every week with a t 20 for floaters incase you felt bored with nothing happening....but on a more serios note....hope anyone who is selected for BGT is not going to SAF....hope the BCCI in all their wisdom weigh this and select for the saf T20 tour.....
not to say, am so miffed off at no practise match against an aussie state side before we hit Perth - Optus stadium in lesser than a month from now....

But nowadays Australia is rolling out green tops.
Even Aamer Jamal got 18 wickets in 3 tests, it is unlikely that O'Rourke and Jamieson wont have atleast some success in Australia.
 
KL Rahul is a parchi player. It was Kohli who supported him over the great Rohit and now he is so well connected and married to Suniel Shetty’s daughter. Need to kick him out asap

Unfortunately for India, Burmah is not a great new ball bowler (compared to his skills as old ball bowler)

We have seperate team for T20 cricket . nothing to worry about .

Real thing is we are playing last NZ test from 1 Nov to 5 nov which is co- Inside with Australia A tour.

I would like Gill , Jaiswal ,akashdeep to play for india A for better preparation .

Kohli supported the 3rd rated bum because he himself is flopping hard in tests since 2020. Check his average. Kohli the great loser averaged about 29 in the last 4 years.

I am a huge Kohli fan, always was and always will be, but what is wrong is wrong. India have an unbelievable bench strength when it comes to batters and no player should stay in the team with the average of 29 in the last 4 year.
 
I dont see these guys surviving NZ pace... Need RAIN!!!!

So when does Aus A tour start? didnt know we have an Aus A tour as well...so would that mean, we can draw on those players, just incase any guys is injured or out of form? actually not a bad situation if so....
...would also like Washi Sundar, devdutt padikkal and dhruv jurel to join the A squad
