India finished day two on 146/3 with Virat Kohli on 44* and Ajinkya Rahane keeping him company on 29*

Will NZ bowlers turn it around on Day 3?

It has been a terrific display of batting Vs swing bowling in overcast conditions by Kohli till now. If he can make this inning count, it will go down as his greatest test knock of all-time.

We are witnessing one of the greatest test knock of all-time if he can convert this 40 to 100. He looked completely unfazed yesterday, batting like the greatest batsman ever does in overcast conditions Vs high quality swing bowling.

The sun is now out at Southampton, we should be having a cracking day considering no rain prediction.

Have to get virat kohli out as soon as possible. He looked so good yesterday.

There will be a result rather than a draw, if we can get atleast 75 overs daily. Reasons being prevailing conditions will make sure that batting will be difficult for majority of the match.

Would have been great had ICC deemed this game to have started from 19th June rather than stipulated 18th June especially when tomorrow is also looking like a complete washout.

Seems like another delayed start due to rain.

It appear that the umpires look satisfied with the conditions and the play may start very soon. 11am local | 3:30pm IST

Rahane has looked the more fluent of the two both yesterday and today.

Obviously virat kohli is not on his peak but he is still better than other Indian batsmen

Ideal conditions for NZ.

Tough period for the Indians.

Ideal conditions for NZ. They would like to bundle India under 230.

We're trying so hard to force a result here.

LOL it's not flat bed of Australia or India.Overhyped pant gone.Chal paii bye bye

Rahane is a terrific batsman on greenish wickets...proper legend.

Even after playing and missing more than Kohli, Rahane has looked easily our most fluent batsman.

LOL before the match Indians wanted to drop ajinkya rahane and now they are happy.

Yeah on a flat track in a dead rubber.Keep overhyping. He will fail for sure.

So anywhere Pant scored , Australia or England is always a flat track? :danish

He won his team a test match & series in Brisbane single handedly, a venue Australia was unbeaten for 4 decades. Keep hating bro.

so difficult to bat on this wicket for Indians.
Wonder if this will be the story with NZ batting too or we get to see a Kane Williamson ton?

Hes already played knocks a lot of ATGs dint in their entire career. So yeah he deserves the hype

Yeah he played very well on that tour of Australia but I don't see him become much successful in England New Zealand and South Africa. He has very faulty technique.

Oh man why is this Colin de grandhomme is bowling.yesterday he was Bowling filth and he has started it again.

Having said that India already took the game to 2nd new ball with 5 wickets still intact. So its actually decent batting considering stop/start conditions.

Can't believe Rahane of all batsmen played that stroke.

What a poor shot to get out. The usual Rahane story. Bats well in overseas conditions but gets out cheaply.

Buffoonery of the highest order from a veteran of the game with expansive experience.

What a stupid shot from Rahane :facepalm

Wagner may as well have put a massive sign saying exactly what shot he wants Rahane to play, and Rahane played it to perfection.

Terrible shot from Rahane after playing so well till then.
He really struggles against short ball...Wagner got him in NZ tour last year in a similar way.

Not really. Bowled well yesterday. It will be a good match up whenever he bowls to Kohli, Rahane, Gill, Sharma etc who like pace on the ball.

Jadeja, Pant etc who are OK with swiping across the line may get out to him but importantly for IND will score against him.

This Kiwi attack is one of the greatest pace attack of all-time.

All four are world class test bowlers and Jamieson has a potential to go a notch higher. I knew it way back in February 2020.

No man he didn't bowl well yesterday. He was Bowling garbage line and length.

That's how he flattered to deceive during most of his innings during last few years.
