We must have each watched a different session lol. I don't recall him flogging the ball to all parts. They played intelligently but scored at a good rate because the Indians were bowling pies.

As I speak Zaheer throws his wicket away.
 
Even if India score 400 in second innings their lead won't be more than 100.
 
Ishant cannot hit even if he wanted to.

Probably the weakest batsmen in world cricket now.

Then again its your team, if you want them to play T20/ODI style good luck to them. I think it's a mistake but it's not my team :)
 
I want to see India bat in 2nd innings.

Lets see if Dhawan, Pujara and Kohli will throw away their wickets again.
 
India are going to have a bad season. They come to England after the IPL for 5 Tests!

Ishant throws his wicket away too. Pretty pathetic attitude from India here, they're just waiting to see if Macca puts them back in. If I was Vijay and Dhawan I would be putting the pads back on about now.

This is brainless and embarrassing stuff by India.

The Indian bowlers, after conceding 500 in the first innings, have run up the white flag and are throwing their wickets away. They want their batsmen to save them again, this time in the second innings.

So NZ have only bowled under 60 overs. That's terrible.

Or Macca could be trolling India, pretending he is not enforcing the follow on but when he gets back into the sheds goes and tells Dhoni to get his boys to put their pads on. Clarke did that to Cook in Adelaide or Perth I think, waited till the morning to declare and did it personally, knocked on the door of the England dressing room with 10 mins to go and told Cook he had declared and Cook had to run around putting his pads on in 10 mins. Needless to say he was out pretty quickly lol.
 
thats such a defensive move why wouldnt they enforce the follow on with a 300 lead and the ball moving around. Surely their bowlers cant be that tired.
 
So much time left in this match - 8 sessions. It's not even halfway through the allotted time.

Cowardly act the the Kiwi's if they don't make India follow on, that's why they can never win a test match even at home #scaredoflosing
 
If NZ score at the run rate of 3 they should get 528 by the end of today.
 
Brendon McCullum got more then the whole of the best batting line up in the world put together

Give the bowlers a break and crush the Indians hopes before the second Test.

I agree with it. I think the enforcing the followon is really only applicable if there's not a lot of time left in the match or if there is bad weather coming up. That's been my thinking even before Eden Gardens. By not enforcing the follow on you make the fielding team stay out there for longer instead of having them put their feet up in the pavilion. You make the bowlers bowl more overs. Especially with a short gap between Tests. With 8 sessions left there's tons of time for a result.
