Now 6/111.

Harby and the Best Bowler In The World will need to do one of their recovery acts.

Don't think they will recover. Rohit Sharma's inability to rotate strike will keep frustrating others.

btw Praveen Koooomer is a decent bat too, I hear. Never seen him bat much though.

The innings is falling apart - a pitch thats a bit fresh, offering some zip and swing, and suddenly the runs have dried up, and wickets are falling like ninepins...

On a positive note, this is perhaps a good perparation for the pitches for the test matches... They will have to reset their batting styles for the rest of the tour I guess.

Having said this, it will also be interesting to see how effective the bowling is.

Jesse Ryder is the man for NZ! who would have expected!

This six hitting tendency has to be curbed down a bit. If India makes 200 they can fight.

Just because he is not muslim :13:
What does that have to do with religion? Seriously you are being a retarded! Please let me know what does that have to do with Islam???

Baji should have came instead of Pathan and Pathan for the end so he could slog and Baji because he can say there for a bit long

Maybe but this Rohit bashing (mostly on Cricinfo) is strange. He is the only batsman who has managed to stay in for any length of time. Wierd criticising the one batsman who has done alright when the rest have failed.

Seems like NZ ran out of BCCI's money thats why the made this bowler friendly pitch to get more money out of BCCI's pocket. Imagine if they make such wickets in test matches.

India's strength these days is rotating strike. Keeping Sehwag for 10 balls at non striker end is not going to help your cause

Well yah but going out for under 10 - which most of the batsmen have done - is not much help either.

I expect these kind of pitches for test matches - in fact a bit more greener than this.

That is when the value of batsmen like Laxman and Dravid will come to fore.

Oh and if India manages to win the series I will give a lot of credit to this team.

In fact I will be more keen to see how bowlers do in the test. The third seamer option is a bit weak IMO.

back to this match, I agree - Sharma is at least hanging on. some 16 odd overs to go, assuming that they could get some hundred runs, that will be some 215 runs to chase. A bit on the lower side, but NZ could be a bit tentative as well - I guess Ishant will be a handful.

Smart thinking by Harbhajan though, sacrificed his wicket to keep Sharma alive

Vettori - AWESOME FIELDING!

This is the ground which is basically square and the pitch is at a diagonal. very short boundaries at the corners. The one Inzi made his mark in the 1992 world cup semi.

This from Cricinfo

Chaz: "So inspiring to see a man with a beer gut go through a batting team like this!! Go Ryder! Get that man a pie and a half doz!"

The world's best bowler batting at the moment, will be itching to get at new zealand on this pitch

There is a sog behind "Bara dukh lagea"
It should be "Jado run out karaya nii bhara dukh lagea"

another one goes, Praveen hit a cross batted shot straight up in the air, out for 6

First time NZ bowlers keep it very tight. Wicket to wicket straight deliveries. Well done.

you still think there is nothing in the pitch dont u?

Doull said upfront. Pitch is a very good batting surface. Any time a team fails that doesn't mean the pitch had to be the reason. This is by no means an unplayable pitch. Just bad shot selections and very tight bowling. Give credit to NZ bowling. They drew 2-2 in Australia.

forget about doull, we have been watching the game and ball is bouncing and swining little bit more.

Ball was bouncing in all the matches. NZ pitches have good carry. Only thing is this pitch has plenty of moisture.

i totally disagree with u. previous matches were played on 100% flat pitches. this is the only pitch has some juice in it.

Did you even watch the 2nd one dayer?

yup i did, every single ball, if you are refering first 5 to 10 overs then u must be forgetting that new ball gets some movement and bounce.

Rohit SHarma, this kid needs a good whack in the head what the **** was he doing taking singles and giving Ishant the strike while not even attempting to slog ??... Indian fans I think we have found VVS replacement for good...... I wanted these punk KWISSSS to be slaughtered 4-0, now that wont happen DAMN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He still has to play lot of domestic matches. He is still an unfinished product.

Thats not the issue here, he should have slogged when only Ishant was left, this is the same personality of our very own =VVS hence we have found a suitable replacement in the coming future...

He is not taking singles. 40 dot balls in this match. Almost 7 overs.

India all out ofr 149, wow..this happens when ROCKSTARS are actually tested by a sporting pitch. That shows indian team is just a flat track bully, nothing else. Only Rohit Sharma has the technique to play on such a wicket, ofcourse, apart from Sachin Tendulkar. Sucks that people started to say that India is so great, without even seeing that they were tested.

Well here we go - the best bowler in the world on a spicy pitch against New Zealand..... :wasim come on Zaheer you have been making me look like fool lately.

And the phaastest bowler around according to Cricinfo at the other end....

But seam movement was there also. Only difference is India played some real bad shots upfront. You will see how easy to bat on in 2nd outing.
Oram and Ryder bowling 120 ks dominated the match. Not the obrien who bowled at 140 plus k. That should tell you wicket to wicket bowlers succeded better.

You gotta be kidding me. Ishant Sharma is the fastest bowler according to cricinfo?? Are all these cricinfo ppl on a crack or something??? Even Gul can bowl yards faster :gul

Looks like BCCI's check bounced...a bit of a seaming track and the Indian FTB crumbled...

3-1 India. good result in the end. Now time to watch Dravid / Laxman boring us to death in Tests.

Whoa a bunch of trolls getting their pants wet cause we donated a win to the Kiwi's lol :))) ..

Unfortunately for India it comes a day after a lot of hype and over the top statements. So there is much material.
