Sarfraz is definitely not underrated.
 
To put things in perspective Babar Azam right now is on 76 off 167 balls. Azhar had 31 off 173 balls in the last match. Keep in mind Babar had a tougher pitch and match condition to deal with.

If Azhar had been playing right now instead of Babar, I am willing to bet my last dollar that we wouldn't have been more than 140.

Well that's obvious. But you place so much importance on who the captain is so he would have got a lot of stick from you had we had a heavy defeat.

I am sure Amin, Saad Ali & Saud will be as well. In PAK, hardly batting technique & fundamentals are appreciated - it's more with where the ball has gone, rather than how.

Babar is lucky that a Pro is in charge & has slotted him at 3 on his 3rd innings - previous novices played Aim in total 20 innings in 6 years at 6 spots. If Arthur stays for 3/4 years; Amin will make a come back while Saud & Saad Ali will play for PAK as well (& Ahmed's career will be over :()

He is a terrible leader of men and the team looks visibly shaken by this counter attack.
 
Damn it SK gone. Was a much needed partnership nevertheless. Amir needs to stick around hope he's next
 
Wahab has come ahead of Amir, which I don't think Arthur's idea.

Amin was also mentally weak, can't just blame everything on his batting position. He has something and if selected should get a chance at one specific slot.

Amin will come in contention once misbah and younis retire.
 
NZ got their runs the same way so Pakistan can get to 270 as well.
 
Why does Wahab keep coming ahead of Amir? He's been pathetic with the bat recently.

The 1st game pitch was much more difficult than this one. Today the pitch has flattened out a lot . But still no excuse for how long Azhar took for 31 and Babar has played well and shown his talent.

Btw Azhar shouldn't be a point of comparison for Babar Azam

You are right Babar shouldn't be compared with Azhar. A new kid on the block is thoroughly out-batting a six year old veteran.

He averages 57 in Asia(where we play most of our matches) with 75+ SR. What else do you want from your no.7??
 
Amir should've been sent in. Way better batsman than Wahab and left right combination as well. Wahab should go for his shots

He's not even a hack these days. The least you'd expect is that he'd slog a few around or get some streaky runs but nowadays he just plays and misses then gets out lbw just like that lol
 
Babar looks graceful even in defense. Definitely the best we have produced in the last decade..

Babar looks a proper batsman who will score runs if ball is there to be hit. Ali is mostly attrition cricket.
 
Wahab needs to score some runs here , he averages less than 8 in test matches. Its just pathetic.
 
Wahab goes. Btw Amir is a better batsman than him. Just need someone to stick around with Babar till lunch and then plan ahead.
 
Poor effort here. He can't play straight balls.
 
Wahab should stick to first class cricket. International is too much for him.

Amin was sent at 3/4; after the dynamic opening pair of Butt & Farhat in one of the wettest English summer against best 2 attacks that time. Send the same teenager in UAE at 5 sandwiched between MoYo & YK you would have seen the tougher side.

Mohammad Hafeez got the Gary Sobers treatment in PAK for best part of a decade, therefore we shouldn't discuss about mental toughness. Play Amin at 4 for 10 innings unconditionally even on CChurch like track - he'll out do many, many stalwarts.

Wahab gone, as I thought - it's Captain cools decision to send him above Amir. When you are sitting on a chair hanging on quick sand, you need to keep the pillars (read seniors) happy & respected.
