Looks like Kiwis are losing the plot, if Lanka score more than 160, the Kiwis will most probably lose the match

They have a lot of fire power in their batting they can chase 160

They'll probably be chasing around 170ish, SL should finish strongly.

But nevertheless, it should be a cracking chase...do or die!

4 overs to go, NZ need to keep the sirils down to 30 runs at the most from these overs if they want any chance in this game.

It seems to my eye that Mills is chucking the ball a bit... anyone else notice that?

He's been chucking all his career!

and they let him go?

Quite unfair to be honest. It looks like he's bending it quite a bit. Although the kiwis will always get the benefit of the doubt.

theyre probably letting him go since even with the chucking hes a below average bowler it would seem....

mubarak trying to be too cute there with a little paddle shot down leg side but gets out lbw to butler....although replays show it hit his glove/bat

lol God knows how he gets away with it...maybe if he starts picking up more wickets.

But it might just be the TV....it certainly looks quite clear the way he 'bowls' the ball but it might be different in real life...who knows.

148/5...SL have already got a decent score for this pitch perhaps, NZ need to keep the scoring down in this over

The kiwis will have to bat well to chase anything over 150 here!

so 158/5 in the end...hmm not bad for either side really but SL would be favs due to their bowling lineup i reckon.

Sl have 4 spinners here...Murali, Mendis, Jayasuria and that Udana dude with his stock ball of slower balls!

yeah ryder isnt in the squad hes injured, even ross taylor is injured but hes playing anyway since its a key game.

Ryder batted brilliantly in one of the matches this tournament, i think it was against Scotland.

Great over for NZ 26-0 after 2

In order to overtake SL's overall runrate by which over do NZ need to get these runs?

No they dont, we have a higher RR

A) If New Zealand beat Sri Lanka by 34 runs or more, or chase their target in less than 16 overs, then their NRR will go above Pakistan's and they will finish top of their group.

If they win lets hope they win after 16 overs...or else it'll be a waste with SL heading out!

a lucky inside edged boundary and then mccullum holes out, big wicket for udana and SL NZ 30/1 after 3 overs.

murali comes into bowl now, lovely shot for 4 through the covers by guptill and NZ are now 38/1 after 4 overs
