That's a tad unfortunate because the other semi-final is at the Oval..................

lasith malinga coming on from the other end SL bringing on their big guns, he was spot on in that over...yorkers, slower balls and bouncers, redmond cant get him away and hes caught on the legside NZ 39/2 after 4.5 overs

Umar gul is leading the bowling charts in this tournament so for with 12 wickets...malinga has 11 come on kiwis dont let him catch up!! last ball of the over clipped away for 4 so its 43/2 after 5 overs.

Malinga has to be the most intelligent T20 bowler.

So much variation that the batsman can never really be confident when facing him.

mendis relaces murali now so sangakkara rotating his bowlers, mendis right on the money straightaway and NZ can only manage 3 singles off him, they are now 46/2 at the end of their 6 PP overs.

with 9 overs left from the 3 M's one has to think Lanka are the favorites

McCullum's wicket was huuuuuge

Kiwis are in with a big chance here. Murali was taken for boundaries and now Malinga has also gone for 2 boundries so far.

These two batting right now are really dangerous.. as i say Guptill hits an exquisite 4444444444

If this partnership is broken soon then SL will be ahead

Guptill playing malinga very very well here loft driving him for two boundaries in the over and NZ score 14 of it. 60/2 after 7 overs.

Run rate very manageable for NZ.. they dont have to take any more risks but knowing Taylor he really wants to take M&M to the cleaners

Less than 100 runs to get in 13 overs with 8 wickets in hand.

This is how you got to chase.

Score quickly early on and don't leave it to the death.

ross taylor cant seem to run well here...due to his hamstring injury, he cant get a runner though can he since he came into this match already carrying the injury.

stumping appeal...taylors is walking off, to be honest he wasnt playing all that well out there.

why was he batting so far outside his crease with keeper standing up???

His injury is clearly bothering him

Game Set Match!!

What a gadha Taylor

yeah SL definitely have the advantage now but even kyle mills can bat so NZ actually bat all the way down to number 10!

Styris has been pretty useless with the bat all tournament i think. He needs to play an anchor role today.

Never mind.....

if performance against Pakistan is anything to go by....

Just seen an Indian fan with a banner:

"Where are We.....Where are we???"

and another one with:

"We are going home, I say we are going home"

and another one could have said:

"You're not Singhing anymore...."

You get the jist.....

why do they play him like a spinner, use your feet get to the pitch of the ball

I'd rather see the gentleman of Sri Lanka in the semis than the whinging NZ team!

exactly...he hardly turns the ball at all, that last dismissal he just played inside the line of the ball

66666666666

Guptill is very impressive.. despite all the wickets hes keeping the runs flowing

true that, but id rather go through as group winners...even if we have to play SA i dont mind that, but seeing pakistan as group winners would be great.

Dilshan getting ridiculous turn.. almost got Guptill

thats interesting because if we do have to play SA on this ground it might be a good indicator for ajmal for example.

NZ also have a couple of very good spinners though so it would still be pretty evenly matched

Lets think what will be Vettori's excuses.

Is it fair that Mendis spins the ball both ways when he is mentioned as an offspinner?

this appealing from the sri lankans especially sangakkara is highly irritating and way over the top

I have tickets for the Oval yaar and want to see Pakistan play

NZ is losing because of Cheating mendis ability to reverse swing the ball in 8th over

couple of cheap overs for srilanka. Pressure bang on NZ now. They need to go for it soon.

73 runs from 48 balls required i cant seen new zealand pulling that one off, not with the 3 M's having 5 overs left between them.

Oram needs to start smashing ball around here if Kiwis want a sniff!

difficult catch dropped on the boundary and its possibly a boundary as well a crucial one for NZ

Oram is a T20 disaster.

He should have ripped Jayasuria apart in that over !
