Narendra Modi's speech in wake of ceasefire 2025:

- "I salute, on behalf of every Indian, the mighty forces of India, the armed forces, our intelligence agencies, and our scientists."

- "The terrorists removed the 'sindoor' of our sisters. That's why India annihilated the terror headquarters. More than 100 dreaded terrorists were slaughtered in the Indian attack. Terrorists who were openly conspiring against India were openly roaming in Pakistan, but India slaughtered them in just one go."

- "When our missiles and drones attacked terrorist sites in Pakistan, they shook not just the buildings but their morale as well. Terrorist sites like Bahawalpur and Muridke were the universities of global terrorism. All big terrorist attacks in the world, including 9/11 or big terrorist attacks in India, are somehow or the other connected to these terrorist sites."

  • This ceasefire is a temporary pause - Of course, it is.
  • No target beyond our reach - Modern technology has made sure of it for everyone in the region. Nothing significant as long as Indian government is ready to accept the consequences.
  • Will only talk to Pakistan in the future on terrorism and PoK in future - Back to same dramabazi, PoK.

I haven't read or heard his speech but going by this he seems to have scored another massive on goal.
 
He is placating the radical masses, telling them what they want to hear to make the epic humiliation they suffered, easy to take.

And another, there was no one buying Indian rhetoric anymore in International circles.

What a fiery speech...laying out everything on the table and annihilated our 2 neighbours. He looked real angry today.

Also it is apparent that hollow nuclear threat by Pak was the reason for this ceasefire.

We have only paused our strikes on Pakistani terrorists infrastructure, & military. It will be judged by thr future actions.

Sure, Pakistan should certainly consider dropping missiles on any RSS religious meeting point and army militant bases where they come up with plans of bombing Pakistani civilians in markets, homes and masjid. Any time there is terrorism in Pakistan, and India is behind it then go for it and take out Hindutva Terrorists on our own instead of relying on a facist terrorists of BJP. India has faced an embarrassing humiliation, they are left with scripted words to patch up their deep wounds now

This line - 'We as a nation are united & stronger than before'. This was the key message.

Unlike 2019 Pulwama, this time every political party was united and worked with govt which was great to see. Infact, PM himself took a backseat and left all to the Army.

Yes he clearly told, on the afternoon of 10th May, Pak representatives called DGMO asking for a ceasefire.

If Pak govt dont respond back, one can assume he is speaking the truth.
 
I hope the policy does not sustain. It is stupid. Can't go to war for every terror attack. Instead work on developing defense and economy.

In his first address to the nation after Operation Sindoor, Modi said while Pakistan pleaded with India to stop the military offensive, New Delhi considered it only after they promised to stop their misadventure.

The Prime Minister termed the Pahalgam attack as the most “barbaric face of terrorism” saying it was personal pain for him but the enemy has now realised the consequences of removing “sindoor” from the forehead of our women.

Addressing the nation, Modi said Operation Sindoor was not just a name but through it the whole world saw India’s resolve turn into action and more than 100 dreaded terrorists were slaughtered in the Indian attack.

“India will not tolerate any nuclear blackmail. We have only kept in abeyance our operations against Pakistan, future will depend on their behaviour. Operation Sindoor is now India’s new policy against terrorism, a new line has been drawn,” he said.

That's a good response. If the IAF hadn't bombed a nuclear base in Pak thus causing a ceasefire, this would've have gone on further.

I don't agree with any of Modi's domestic policies but his Pak policy has been better than that of the Congress party.

There is no passing day after such an incident that Indians don't get mocked by the international media. The more such attacks, the funnier the memes.

As far as nuclear button is concerned of Pakistan, at least I would not like to see that day in my life time for it to get pressed. Only a dumb illiterate fool would wish pressing Pakistan to resort for that final defense tactic.

Typical Indian and BJP response when confronted with facts i.e. Pakistan kicked India Ass in this conflict, 6-0, "But But, we are richer than you". We are actually a more efficient nation than you and are a marvel of all western and middle eastern militaries where we have shown that we can get so much done with so less while you can't get anything done inspite of having a huge bank balance.

East and West Pakistan union was not viable especially with a hostile enemy state in the middle. That separation would have happened at some point in any case.

In any case the Pakistani army capability and quality has gone up ten folds since 1971. No point in rejoicing in past history forever.

With the exit of the Awami League, definitely. A lot of Bengalis come to Pakistan to work especially Karachi even today. The exit of Sheikh Hasina will help improve Bangladesh Pakistan relations. People of Bangladesh are now sick and tired of the 1971 wins being shoved down their throats, job quotas for the 1971 families now.
