131/5 is the SA score in reply to 157 AO.

Day 1: Stumps - South Africa trail by 26 runs South Africa: 131/5 (39.0 Ovs)
A Prince*18(54)
P Harris0(5)

Pakistan: 157
M Asif10-2-20-2
D Kaneria*13-3-29-1

Run Rate : 3.36 Current Partnership: 3(10)

Pakistan are still fighting it out but own goals such as Akmals missed stumping off Kaneria will not help our cause - but we continue to hope :D

first hour to be very crucial. Hope Inzi starts with Asif and Kaneria in the attack.

First runs of the moring off Harris's bat as the gully fails to miss one.

Seems liek the track has gotten a bit flatter. How does that happen overnight? Do the curators purposefully use a heavy roller to help the home team?

Looks like the bat might have hit the pitch rather than the ball.

Akmal dropped that one too. Rebound off the glove into Farhat's hands. God, Akmal needs help.

Got to say poor keeping from Akmal again.

Farhat or whoever was at silly point. AKamal tried to snatch it but Kaneria was saved

Harris is gone as well./

Caught Younis, bowled the relentlessly brilliant Asif

More wickets! We may just keep it under 25.

And the Asif Younis partnership grows...

Great start boys. If we can get rid of Boucher now...we may be able to get some sort of lead. But SA still got two recgonized batsmen...we need to contain them toa lead of 30-50 AT MOST!

Younis Khan has caught well in this series - very important when you have a bowler like Asif

Andrew Hall - certainly a LBW candidate

133/7. Great start to the morning for Pakistan.

2 for 2 today. Superb start for Pak

Need to get Bouche early now and who knows we may have a lead.

Wow Younis has more catches then keepers in this series

Amazing...

kamran should be rested for the one dayers the guy is completly out of sorts

Hall has made a very good 167 in the past, so we need to break this partnership.

Rameez is a useless commentator. Keeps harping on how fortitios Pak is to get rid of Prince. By the way that was another missed stumping by Akmal

If anyone was watching that 'play & miss' by Hall off Asif - note how Akmal does NOT get his whole body shape behind the line of the ball as he takes the ball.

I noted it in the last test - if that had been a nick, his body would have been going left, his hand would have been going right!

Serious technical flaw

goner !

Beauty from Danish caught behind.

Yes Akmal caught one :)

Leg spinner just in the right area by Danish. Thin edge.

Lovely piece of bowling from Danish, too good for Hall

Who would have thought Kaneria would be mowing them down !

S.A 140/8

superb start by pakistan... come on game on!

please please dont let the tail hang around keep the pressure up

Last night I would have settled for 200.

Now, 170 would be awesome - anything below would be staggering!!!

well done Akmal. he might not have known there was a edge so caught it. but a good catch

Big spin from Danish here.

Bowlling with a lovely loop and good rhythm.

Thyat was a real beauty by DK - and his 1st to Steyn is a corker!

Kaneria looks a different bowler since his runup has been modified by Mushi- credit where due - Inzi & PCB deserve this one.

Its the difficult ones he is taking - sadly the easy ones are the ones that hes dropping!

Danish has bowled very well for the whole series and if finally getting due credit here. It was a beautiful delivery from him to get rid of Hall.

140/8

Surprising that Boucher has exposed Steyn to Asif.

5 wickets per session. hopefully this session it is just SA 5 wickets and Pakistani openers play out an hour

Seems like Kaneria is getting his touch back again :) I am so happy he is finally suceeding again.

Asif round the wicket-- thats something new --maybe to try a bouncer

I am thinkign he wants to angle it across for a catch.

Actually, he has bowled very well all throughout the series without much luck.

Dan-the Man to continue- lets hope he gets a fiver unless Asif wants to party as well- 4 each also sounds nice though.

Agreed but now he is getting that wicket taking knack back. (no pun intended)
