Pakistan (242/7) defeat South Africa (239/9) by 3 wickets in a nail biting encounter to win the 1st ODI

Anyone that didn’t back Saim before should apologise
Don't know if it's a dig at me, magar dil khush rakhnei kei lyei I'll admit I was wrong 🤣🤣.

But even so my point was mostly for test and t20. I distinctly said I judge on format performance.

Saim performed in odi instantly.

Why is there still so much uncertainty in their running between the wickets? I just don't get it. We need 60 off 70

Yeah all-round MOTM performance
For me it's still saim, He could have easily toppled over when chaos was happening. Furthermore rr was getting out of hand.

Saim 6 + 6 + 4 sealed the game and took all pressure of himself and Agha.

But if Agha got mom, I wouldn't mind.

First pakistani opener after fakhar zaman this decade who gets his centuries with 4's.

Babar and rizwan painfully take 20 singles to get their

South Africa have been sloppy and this will cost them the match.

They didn't expect Pakistan to play like how Saim and Salman did. It's a rarity.

Saim Ayub Started as misbah and now he is ending as ab devilliers.

Wonderful knock by him.
Not many Pakistani players play like he played today.

He'll come good in the other formats too. He has all format potential. You just need to see the player he is and give him his chances. I'm glad the board has done something decent for once and backed him.

Jobs not done yet but what an innings.

No current player in Pakistan comes close. Babar hasn't played an innings like this since the WC match against NZ.

What a player Saim, keep it up!

I want to tag all the haters in the Saim Ayub thread who are now praising him and acting like they’ve always known.

If you can’t support the guy on his lowest, admit your previous hate and apologise if you wish to support him now.

I don't doubt that.

However for his genuine critics and I repeat Genuine critics Not those like @Major who hated him just cause Misbah's vision of Babar and rizwan opening t20 was getting disrupted.

You can understand why people were unhappy. He was rubbish in t20 for a while. Last game was his first solid t20 knock, and in test he hasn't produced a good knock.

However tbf to saim, when he first appeared in the domestic circuit, he struggled for a year before becoming a domestic goat.

He seems to be the type to take a year to adjust to something new before kicking off.
