Pakistan A vs Eng (Day 3)

Thanks.

Flintoff got some beating, 67 from 10 overs.

But his wickets column is still busy.

YEEEEEEEESSSSSSS

Great stuff from Raza and Yousuf! I said the other day we will need two out of Raza, Yousuf and Farhat to put their heads down. They did it! At the end of the day we destroyed them. Congratulations to Pak A....let's hope this is a sign of things to come, both in the future of Pakistan cricket in the long term.....and also in the short term with the destruction of Valait in the test series.

Great stuff from the A team. Hopefully this will show the senior team how to do things. I wonder how close Hasan Raza is to an recall now. Unlike Asim Kamal and Bazid Khan in the previous match, he top scored in both innings so hes done whatever he could

Congrats to PAK - A in the victory over thier tour game against England .

I think if Farhat had come back in a little earlier, he too could have got his half century..looked in good nick and made a swift 37 off 40.

I have a feeling he's coming back to form. Hope he gets an opportunity in the third test and makes use of it.

now the question pops up again.. hasan raza has been on superb form, should he play? i say yes. but then who for?

i would play him ahead of Kamal
i would then play Afridi as an opener instead of Malik - OR i would play Afridi instead of Kaneria as a specialist spinner

No i would have Afridi at no.6, no Hasan Raza or Asim Kamal.

We all know you're crazy, no need to show it... :D

But seriously, Asim Kamal hasn't done anything to get kicked out, its just that Hasan Raza has shown more to warrant a place in the side. If you look at it, both batsmen have got the same opportunities at domestic level with all eyes watching, and Asim has consistently failed. Even in the latest Patron's XI match, Asim only made 14 and 0 which frankly, doesn't speak much for his current form. No doubt he ahs performed for Pak in the past, but at the moment we need to look at wats best for us for this particular series. He will get his chances later, when we tour india etc, but for now I think Hasan Raza has stepped up and deserves the spot.

great performance!! england struggling! hope we nail em in the first test:)

i would then play Afridi as an opener instead of Malik -
just read on BBC that it seems like Malik will deffo play as opener....
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/cricket/other_international/pakistan/4414054.stm
"We have three options for opening batsman in the squad with Shahid Afridi and Salman Butt apart from Malik. Shoaib may open the innings," Younis explained.

"Malik has played sensibly as a middle-order batsman and I believe he can do the same as an opener. He is a good prospect." according to Younis Khan, at least

Whats wrong with Afridi at 6? He gives the team more options.

1) The brutal batting style, unmatched by any. He can take away the game in just one session if that.

2) His bowling adds variety and has been very penetrative and reliable justfiying the tag of partnership breaker and tail cleaner.

3) An awesome fielder, one of the best in Pakistan in any position, has the strongest arm in the world, is quick and is a live wire.

notice the "can"! whats the probability of afridi scoring something? raz be honest with urself..we need someone who we can rely on as our top order nearly always falls early.

i think Hasan Raza should be given a chance in a test or 2 while Asim Kamal should be rested.

Im an optimist not an astrologer. I dont what he will do. He is capable of anything. He could smash the world record in just one session.

He doesnt have an average of 41 this year in Tests for nothing and surely that should count for something.

u dont need to be an astrologer to figure it out, its common sense..

Well done Hasan, Nazir, and Shahid Yousaf...you have made us proud

Also credit to M. Asif, Mansoor Amjad, and the rest of the team :14: :19:

What do you say now Mr. 3-0 Whitewash :21:

never knew he was a poster on pp :D

Unless Noddy bhai is actually Paul Collingwood

Its great to see hassan and shahid yosuf comes into the paty. Its seems likely that hassan is going to play at 6 BUT the question arises where would afridi play? It can be 1 or 7. I will got afridi at 1. I think we should play 3 fast bowlers with danish as genuin spinner and afridi

I hope whatever management decides is best for pakistani team

Raza has sealed his place at number 6 for the next few matches - in my opinion. And deservedly so.

FP, do u think in that case pakistan is being unfair to Asim Kamal/.

Congrats to Pakistan "A"
excellent effort. If it wasn't for Patron XI's batting collapse, we'd have a 2-0 whitewash against the Brists in the pre-series persay lol
oh well...let's hope the "A" boys have done enough, to breakdown their "High on Ashes Horse".

Hasan Raza definately deserves a chance. Having said that, I would not take away Afridi out of the team at any cost...he's a 3-d cricket (Bats, Bowls, Fields well).
Asim Kamal seems to be out of form terribly...I think Asim should be given a run in the first test nevertheless, but if he fails to perform...then Hasan should be given a chance ahead of him in the second test.

Add Pakistan A to that list

Wales
Essex
South Africa A
Somerset
Pakistan A
