Pakistan end Day 1 of the 1st Test on 33/4 after bowling out South Africa for 220

Honestly speaking, Pakistan should look to bat once in this game.

With Temba Bavuma in the team, South Africa is playing with 10 men.
Worst South African test regular ever.

Just following ptv sports coverage, It’s amazing that Afridi features in the ads even now. How much influence he still has in Pakistan?

It won’t be a miracle pitch isn’t doing a lot bowl is 50 overs old not much batting to come but another 100-150 runs from here isn’t a miracle by any means.

It is unlikely that they will add that many runs from here.

It's unfortunate they don't have a better option.

Still, I've seen the quotas work. Ntini once upon a time was seen as a total charity pick & nowhere neat a good enough bowler for Tests. But over the years he improved & improved until he was a gun international level bowler. And by that time, he was no longer a "quota pick" and now they have Rabada & Ngidi who are both good bowlers. With that first quota pick of Ntini we'd never see any of them.

A lot of debate going around SM is that Hassan is burnt out due to playing 8 FC matches and his pace and radar is off.

The run out has cost them they were looking untroubled and heading past 200 five down now it’s an uphill battle to score another 100 runs from here.

Bring uncle on man

All of our bowlers leak runs. Uncle needs to lock one end up

Having said that, Hassan gets Linde

Brave persistence to stick with the short ball for Hasan Ali. He hasn't looked any threat at all when pitching it up.

Come on Boys, under 200/210 and lets bat 6 sessions InshaAllah

The run out and De Kick dismissals were avoidable and have proved very costly.

After a long time plan from a Pak pacer which actually worked

Another giveaway the match is being gifted to us surely we can’t mess it up from here?

:abbas

I hope short ball is not difficult to handle on this pitch. Otherwise, it can get ugly for us.

Well done Hasan. He's worked damn hard to get that wicket after being dropped & injured & a long road back. Is that his first Test wicket at home?

Hashim Amla too. Often forgotten now, but he had a pretty terrible record through his first couple of years in the side. Only really got good post 2008. The difference though is that Ntini and Amla

a) were genuinely talented players who just needed time; and
b) came into strong teams that could make up for their deficiencies until they found their feet.

The same is not true today sadly.

We have been given gifts today just like lankans did to english...hope these no balls are sorted .

This is because it's Hasan Ali, and he thinks a bit. Shaheen is good, but he overdoes the length stuff. Have to bowl a surprise delivery from to time to time.

Rabada comes from a privileged background, went to an elite school I believe

Awful batting by South Africa nothing great about the bowling to be 8 down 200-4 would be more in line with what’s going on and a decent position to be in.

would have liked to see Sajjid Khan making debut but Noman has been beautiful as well

This is for tht 1 dude with whom I argued whether Yasir Shah was a done deal or not lol .... dont think i have lost the argument just yet :P happy to be proven wrong lol

You cant fault these clowns in the slips can you?

Best Keeper in the world lol

Which is very nice for him. Not every white player comes from privilege either so of course no every colored player comes from a township. I'm just saying without Nitini & the quotas, we may never see talented coloured players coming through.

Thought that I was watching cricket, turns out it was practice audition for the juggling act in a circus.

Yasir and Rizwan a bit too casual. Where is the intensity after getting pumped and humiliated in NZ for 600???

What are these Charlie's doing behind the stumps good way to demoralise any fast bowler on this dead pitch

Yasir better get the next one also at no extra loss to the team!

What's with these digs at Rizwan. He is one of the best keepers in the world. Never see you comment when he takes a good one, but you're always there when he makes a mistake.

Some poor batting from SA on a wicket which was pretty decent to bat but, credit to Pak bowlers as well for creating pressure

All out for under 200 would be something considering S/A were 52/1 when I left the house this morning.

Yasir gets the wicket but quicks are going to get criticised & dropped- when Ali should have finished with a 3-fer & tidy figures...

This was RSA's bets hope in the series. They could have applied themselves and made 300 to stay in the match... now they played into Pakistan's hands. However, we should stay vigilant and punish the lapses instead of playing reckless cricket ourselves.

Some of the cutters by pacers literally crawl on pitch. Might be an effective delivery as match progresses

I hope yasir can get a lot of confidence here. If he can return to his best, we are in for a massive home season.

Leaked some unneccesary runs with those drop catches. Still fuming inside!
