With that being said

Rizwan isn't a villian, just a medicore player who Pakistan have glorified for some reason.

Pakistan's talent is dry as is. The likes of fakhar, Saim, Saud shakeel are virtual God sends for such a barren country.

So its irritating to see rizwan replace them. Fans like to hide behind the wicket keeping clause and use the whole he's the best keeper this country has ever produced however the other keepers were all makeshift.

Occasionally Pakistan would experiment and open with them but majority of the time they batted anywhere the team asked them to, sometimes at no 7.

Hence the whole best keeper never made any sense. He's not competing with gilchrist lol.

If you're opening in t20, followed by no 4 in odi, then you'll be treated as a batsmen.

And frankly fakhar + Saim should have been Pakistan all format openers In all 3 formats.

Expected babar atleast to score big on this flat pitch. He's best at scoring 50's keep up his average and out even 50's are rubbish for test standards

Even Bangladesh is better than Pakistan as they have beaten Pakistan as well.

Pakistan should seriously stop playing test cricket.

Theirs is no need to criticise him as he's rubbish.

Their have been a few of his supporters on this forumn back during the aussie series because fans assumed that he'd be able to turn it around however once the Bangladesh series concluded, almoat everyone wanted him out.

At present, 95% of pakistan fans want him gone, besides this is probably shan's last test match anyway. He's definitely getting booted out this year.

Rizwan and babar aren't going anywhere.

Tbf I have matured a bit on these 2. Rizwan is all we have as the rest aren't kicking of as keepers, But why does he have to open and bat at no 4 in whiteball?

Or bat > Agha in tests? What's the point? Only delusional stat obsessed fans actually have the gall to justify rizwan batting ahead of fakhar in t20 and ahead of KG/Saud in odi.

As for Babar, no one can deny his achievements in odi, he avg in tests but still decent. But what's the point if he's rubbish now? Can't keep living in 2019.

India making the same mistake with kohli and rohit as of late.

Steve smith is the one exception but that's because Smith is literally the 2nd greatest test batter of all time in his absolute prime. He's an outlier who you back to come good and punish the opposition in test format.

Most cricketers have hardcore fans and those fans always overrate them. Even now you have fans of Shehzad and Akmal claiming them to be generational talents and demanding they be included in the side. It’s your own fault that you believe such people.
 
Aqib needs to think about Test captaincy also, Shan place is in the team is not automatic now.

Hopefully they will make amends before WI tour

I don't have a clue why you bring up shan to compare with rizwan and babar. No one ever claimed he's a world class batsmen.

But there are group of people like you who claim rizwan and babar are world class players and better than Tendulkar lara etc..

So where is the performance to back it up?

Babar is exception. it’s not just the Fans , A sizeable chunk of our population believes he is Godsend batter for team Pak including Ex Cricketers but thats not the problem , it is that they still continue to believe he is the best we got even after Repeated failures. a track where opposition is scoring 100s and 200s for fun , This guy is nicking it sliding down the leg
 
Give Maphaka a chance to pick up some wickets and gain more confidence
 
When the leader averages 29, the standards are pretty low for the rest of the players. Why do they need to score 100s and average 40+?
 
This match should be wake-up call for Pakistan. They can't compete at Test level away from home against SENA countries.There is no pace bowling ot batting talent coming through. The whole structure needs to be looked at they should be producing more.

PCB needs to wake up this is Test cricket where number of players made their and youngsters follow them and aspire to achieve the same, who will Shan Masood inspire ??

I always found him average tbh. His batting is decent for no 8 at best and his bowling is poor. We also need to stop playing him in Pakistan. Get a spin bowling all rounder at 8 rather than him and go with another pacer, provided we are following the same template from the England series.

So he isn’t the best we got. Then who is it?
If Saud and Saim can continue to perform then they will be considered as the best.

Saim had been a major flop is international cricket, but as soon as he started performing, people started hyping him and claiming him to be the most important player for Pakistan. And it’s only been 2-3 series where he has performed.

If Saud played ODIs and performed similar to babar, he would probably he rated as high as him or higher. Typically, test specialists don’t get enough hype anyways.

If they keep performing, it won’t take long for a player like saim or someone else to take babar’s spot as fan and critic’s fav.
 
Jamal should not have played this test. Nomi chacha should have been inducted especially after RSA displayed their hand by announcing the team.

That said, no matter who played this match hard to say that the result would have been any different. Pak bowling disintegrated after lunch session & if Nomi were to be playing, a lot of us would say that why was Jamal removed.

Hamza in first test & Nomi in second test were necessary.
 
Nothing working for Shan, big Big 2nd innings this will be might be the last of him in Pakistan colors :sarf
