How faisal akram cant get in the team is beyond me ..i dont like the combinatiom again too many bowling choices need batters in the team

Pakistan Under 19s - 55/2 16.2/50 ov CRR: 3.36

My goodness we are a very poor team...unbelievable shot played by faseeh. The keeper has made 10 of 50 balls i mean how is that even possible.

Maaz Sadaqat batted to well as an opener in asia cup and we are 2 down yet he is still no where to be seen

Seems like the parchee quota continues.
17 runs of 55 plus balls.

Any coach with some self respect would already have called him in!

Can this haseebullah get out. He’s making a poor batsmen like irfan look world class in comparison to him.

I think 350 your expecting to much but certaintly should be in a better position.

I know , 350+ is too much to ask for at the Under 19 Level but wasn't expecting batting at S/R below 20. Hope they will pick up the rate as game progresses.

Pakistan Under 19s - 87/2 24/50 ov CRR: 3.62

good comeback this.. i till dont agree with the combo. Maaz sadaqat hasnt even come yet. need to start hitting out

Bewal Express what you thinking ?

I only saw a little bit of the innings and i was really disappointed with the lack in intent. I know these young men are under immense pressure because one good innings could get PSL contracts etc and a few bad ones could be the end. But even taking that into consideration, it left me a little empty. I have seen the scorecard since and he has Haseeb has got some runs , so maybe he was playing risk averse cricket and we will see the real player start to play.

Some old school cricket is being played by this team. Haseeb at one point was around 20 runs for 60 balls and the team essentially going at 3 runs an over before picking up the rate.

That is 90's level approach of eating countless amount of dot balls, being "settled" in before being aggressive. It's worked out in this case but what happens if he gets out while at 20 runs on 60 balls? Irfan Khan played quick from the get-go which is nice to see.

Brilliant hundred moment for Haseeb

Well could have been because of the conditions also. Too many posters here crying for nothing. It's the end result which matters and they have already a very good score for this level.

Some posters and their knee-jerk reactions are hilarious. I just don't understand how quickly people jump at conclusions and pass their opinions as fact.

why is our new abdul razzak Ahmed Khan coming so late down??? He was awsome in the Asia cup

agree with you, i watched the game from the 12 over till 50th, he started off way too slow, took him around 65 runs/113balls to start attempting to go for boundaries - assuming he needed to take his time due to new pitch and not making many runs in the asia cup - finished decently he.

I was really impressed with irfan khan - literally played his whole innings a run a ball - didn't let his strike rate go below 85%, nearly always stayed at 95%.

Good cameo by qasim akram - lucky Maaz Sadaqat didnt run him out , good hitting by Zeeshan Zameer

Should we be worried what a start from.zimbos..no mystery spinner in faisal akram too

This Bennett guy looks like a good future prospect. Our bowling attack looks a bit toothless right now.

No we are not crying. Saw haseebullah bat from ball 1 and he’s a poor batsmen. He’s pretty awful against pace and these were Zimbabwe pacers.

You mean the guy who scored a 100?

You mean the guy who scored a 100?

Yes the guy who score 130 odd. The guy who scored 70 odd too struggles against pace. Doesn’t matter how much they score they are not good for higher level.

4 wickets for Awais Ali.

Good innings from Bennett 81 off 92 balls.

bennet gone 82 - great innings by him.

Noticed that all the pakistan bowlers dont vary thr sped - thy all bowl between 84-87.5mph - no slower bowl at all

Zeeshan Zameer looks quick but he was getting carried away with short pitched bowling. The bouncer should be used as a surprise weapon.Heshoukd aim at the stumps.

First game always brings its nerves. Still a convincing windy 115 runs.

Hopefully will get better as the tournament progresses.

Haseebullah posts highest score of World Cup so far in Pakistan win

Pakistan’s opener Haseebullah put on the highest score of the tournament so far with 135 from 155 balls as he and Irfan Khan combined for a 192-run third-wicket partnership.

Irfan was forced to go for 81 from 77 balls, including eight fours, after being caught by David Bennett off the bowling of Mcgini Dube.

Zimbabwe continued the fightback, led by right-arm seamer Alex Falao, who took the wicket of Haseebullah on his way to five for 58 as Pakistan ended with 315 for nine.

The Chevrons had already produced a score higher than this against Papua New Guinea in their opening game of Group C but faltered in this chase.

Matthew Welch and Steven Saul combined at the top of the order to put on 34 for the first wicket.

The next six wickets fell for 77 runs before a timely partnership of 83 runs between Bennett and Mataranyika gave Zimbabwe a glimmer of hope.

But with Bennett’s dismissal they were left needing 121 runs with only 58 balls remaining, Mataranyika followed his partner back to the hutch two balls later before the final wicket of Mcgini Dube fell to hand Pakistan a convincing 115-run victory.

At least maaz can bat and is an all rounder and looked more threatening with mehran he’s just a darter.
Exactly my point..and shezad didnt even bowl his medium pace so many bowlin options they need to get the batting right

Pakistan showed their batting strength as they played their opening game in Group C in Guyana, putting on 315 thanks to a Haseebullah Khan century. Zimbabwe fell 116 runs short in the chase despite an 83–run eighth-wicket partnership between Brian Bennett and Tendekai Mataranyika.

Haseebullah looked very limited however he didn't give him wicket away which is always a good thing.

Zeeshan Zameer is very fast and has the X factor.

Pakistan are playing with a batter short.

The inability of our youngsters and senior players to make the most of the death overs while batting in ODI and T-20 Cricket is alarming. Definately agree with the PCB's decision to search for a power hitting coach.
