to me it seems mostly psychological rather than lack of skill whilst playing spin

The wickets have mostly been on very regular, run off the mill balls rather than deliveries with turn and zip.

It seems like the Aussie batsmen are scared of the spin and are always on their toes in anticipating it and as a result missed some straight ones.

To me it seems more of a psychological than skill issue
