No, I would judge him on his bowling performance. If he does really well then I guess he can stay. If not either Arshad or Khalil should replace him for the first test.

marooned u being sarcastic? coz i really rate taufeeq and have said he could play in odi too once settled with salman at the top. PPl's arguments for him not to be included in odi team were he is too defensive and doesnt have the shots , but he has the shots!!!

Yes WIY, he has enough shots for a test player and he looks classy when in flow. There were a few who said his only strength was his temperament which is not quite true.

anyway, rana bowling very well on paper! N selectors finding out why we don't want razzaq in test team... also, razzaq can't replace yk as a test batsman i feel.. its' better to play hameed or malik even! But YK hasn't done much wrong, i'm sure hew ill get another chance in 1st test.

This team looks alright except that Razzaq will go out and another pacer should come in! I'd give khalil a chance over razzaq, but if khalil fails in 1st test, we won't see him again for rest of the tests.

This might sound ludarcis but pakistan should take a risk on shahid afridi i really think the batting conditions and indian bowling would really be 2 his liking yh i no every1 fink he dnt have the temperment but play him in the lower order so he dnt face the new ball it might work becuase wen he played in tests before he was openin that might of been his downfall. Jus take a risk thats all it cud go sour if it does well den we jus expected it 2 happen but if it pays of every1 will go on afridi mania.

i think razzaq is only there for the first test due to the expected pitch at mohali although i still have my doubts about the wicket that is eventually going to turn out, remember the hue and cry raised by ganguly during australia's tour when they had a green-top at nagpur. the result was a dustbowl at mumbai in the last test.

so if the same thing happens at mohali, we may yet see arshad or afridi in the final XI.

Well the players have been "sold short" by the PCB once again. Having only accepted one warm up match in a remote location, this has resulted in the players being ill prepared for the first test.

Time and again the PCB dont do the players any favours at all with thier lack of foresight and planning.

saj, with work load "other test teams" have they tend to ask for short heavily packed tours with no practice matches at all.

sadly pakistan dont play much test cricket and yes 1 warm up match is a joke. so there not in same situation as other nations.

pakistan can ill afford to be behind the 8 ball in this series from word go.
