Excellent captaincy by cook. Just as i said weird field he gets caught there. Our most dangerous batsman gone

Younus Khan has been giving catching practice to fast bowlers ever since he stepped on the crease. If it wasn't for spinners, he wouldn't have made this so far. It is safer if he plays this position through out the whole series.

Was Jayawardene weak against pace too? Because his limited overs record isn't as good as his Test record as well.

I can't speak for Jayawardene, but Younus was proven ineffective against pacers. That is not shocker. He just got out to the catching practice trying to prove he can play pacer with such ease.

Great captaincy by Cook with the field placings. If England can nick one more out they won't be dis-satisfied at their days work.

You cannot compare.India and Aus played him in England where the pacers created pressure and thats why they attacked Moeen. Here the pacers hardly do anything and hence Moeen isnt that dangerous.

Poor excuses as usual.

It's not One day cricket where you have to attack Moeen.

Fact was Indians were overconfident and playing far too much IPL rubbish hence they didn't have any respect for such a bowler. In the end it was them that got eggs on their faces. :najam

Can't lose anymore wickets today if we want to get to 550+, which is needed considering our bowling options.

His attitude today was a bit reckless, and not giving a damn sort of mood. Hopefully it has nothing to do with the off field antics.

Mohammad Yousuf didn't do well which was shocker. But with the presence of Younus Khan, all the pressures wouldn't be mounted on Mohammad Yousuf alone. Mohammad Yousuf is not under pressure type of batsman despite of being world-class batsman. Both had Inzimam to rely on just in case if they had failed which sort of gave them some confident.
MoYo is poor player of pace and bounce.

Defending your country is good thing but defend where due.

The econ rate of Moin in that series was 3.5 including that first high scoring match. If indian batsmen were going hard on him then 3.5 shouldnt be the econ.

We cannot deny that Younus is eloquent in playing spinners. Only few cricketers can do that and youngsters should learn by watching him how to play spinners with such ease.

So then , where does Malik bat in next test ?
1=Opening with Azhar is less-risky as compared to opening with Malik.
2=Azhar has been very good at one down.
3=Playing as an opener and playing at one down is not just about the abilities, it's a about mental setup as well.

Only a matter of time before Misbah launches these two bhais for some booming sixes over Long-on and Cow Corner.

Not very clever by Team Man, needed to play his natural game. Chance for England here now if they can get a couple of wickets.

It's a weird thing with him. It's like he can easily tuk tuk for hours on end but can't score those 150s or double-hundreds in tests.

thats coz he is not a natural batsman. just survived coz of his temperament, otherwise, he doesnt hv enough shos to score, particularly against fast bowlers

Why dont we have bloody hotspot!!!!! That wasnt out!!!!! Please tell me someone why we dont have hotspot or snicko this is so bloody annoy ng

Pressure on malik and shafiq. Both need to bat out the rest of the day and tomorrow we can add more runs

With the information available I cannot see why it was given out. The 3rd umpire has given it out on a "tickle noise" rather than visual evidence.

what a **** poor decision that was! 3rd umpire should be shot!

Shafiq will redeem his captain, InshAllah.

Game back in the balance now, we need to get to close of play without losing any more wickets!

Not really. He may be choker in under pressure situation, but his only weakness is swing. Then again, which world-class batsmen is effective against swinging. :|
Lol.No.He plays swing alright thats why he has a good record in England.

Why can't we listen to the conversation over the radio between umpires? Would have been interesting to hear where the evidence for that decision was.

No suprise a **** decision from an indian umpire! they never seem to produce any decent umpires who can officiate properly.
