30 overs remaining - PAK must try to add another 100 in 15 overs & go with everything for last 13 overs. 35/1 - at day 2 end - Malik 'll not bat twice in this match.
 
Malik has seriously poor fitness for Test cricket. Hasn't played FC since a long time.
 
Only bad thing about them batting this long is Sarfaraz didn't get to bat long enough :(

How do you have to be rated?

Coming at less than 100 for 5 and scoring a century and playing major role in snatching a win from jaws of defeat

Scoring a century against Steyn and Morkel in South Africa where the rest of your team collapsed like dominoes? Just to name a few.

He is batting at one of the most difficult positions after #3. Many of the times you have to bat with the tail. You have to do a recovery job if there was a collapse. Or you have to play positively and add to the score. Add to that you have to face not only the old ball doing tricks but often the new ball is also due when you are at that position.

This is why there are generally so few successful people at that position despite playing enough times there
 
Damn sarfraz... Obviously got careless coz of our score but he will definitely score in this series hes too good a player
 
Cheap dismissal. Poor tactics in the end by our batsmen. Should have gone for the kill rather than chipping and defending.
 
Stuck in the wicket that bowl. Lifeless pitch. England must be thinking why did we agree for this tour. Sarfraz gone in rather old fashioned way

Learn something about cricket and fitness before name calling. Or stick to your job of promoting specific players.
 
Malik should get his 250 and then Pak should declare
 
Either smash or declare. No point of wasting time.

I hope Wahab doesnt repeat his boring batting.

He's a good batsman when playing second fiddle to someone else. In SA, YK I think was taking the attack to SA and that innings against SL was in a partnership where Sarfraz was the one who played the crucial knock IMO. Not saying he's a bad batsman but certainly not someone who can turn a match around on his own.

Last played in December for just a few games. Been a while.

Even Only List A he has played was Pentangular and then Pakistan.

Been a t20 diet for him
 
Argh. Wish Malik could beat Hanif.

Funny thing is some people joked about that, but it almost came true :)))

Yeah he can be more assertive but still one of the first names on the team sheet for me

Not easy, but regulation for professional Test cricketers in touch with the game.

AB has scored more on this pitch. What do you think Anderson and Broad have eaten to be bowling continuously since two days? Fast bowling... and wonder what YK does after hitting a double ton?

He's clearly not 100% fit for Test level yet. Can overcome with practice.
 
Just realized that Malik's career average has gone from 33.45 to 38.54.

Needs to go not out!

He played 7 FC matches last season which is good enough for him. He has not played more than 7 FC matches a season since 2001.

eh? Ask this from Anderson and Broad who've been bending their backs since yesterday and haven't fallen down yet. Not used to the heat either.

Malik hasn't trained for Test cricket so he's not 100% fit yet.

Declare when 20 overs are remaining. Score as much as possible before that

I think we haven't had any top division domestic matches after that, because most other players' last FC match is also in December. Lol that is kind of absurd tbh, why such a big gap.
