Pakistan v New Zealand | 2nd ODI | Karachi | 11 January 2023 | New Zealand innings

Shan masood not fielding in the right position on purpose this yaqoob guy is pissing the hell out of me doesn’t want to raise his finger even if the ball crashes into the middle stump
 
Unfortunately the game is gone..all of a sudden the ball is spitting and biting...and they are only playing with two seamers. I cant understand where were these pitches in tests

You can make that excuse for us and Australia who are two of the best fielding teams in the world. Not Pakistan who are known to drop catches are in the middle of the pack.

Pakistans fielding has always been trash true you’re right about that part but see your boys are collapsing and our amazing umpire has helped you a lot to make sure they are where they are now I told you after top three they don’t do much
 
I'm sure Bracewell, Sodhi and Santner will like what they're seeing
 
Pakistani umpires these days are pretty terrible and usually give decisions against Pakistan.
 
Agha salman is a downgrade on Iftikhar. Pakistan must realize that quickly before the world cup.
 
Most hated umpire by me rashid riaz now after Aleem dar in intl cricket and that is amazing fielding by haris off of his own bowling

280 looking like a good total.

Read the pitch correctly and played 3 spinners.

Really poor from the management not to pick Ifti Chacha over Salman. A better no 6 and a better spinner
 
Is the pitch going to get harder to bat on and take more turn?

Markhor was saying this was a typical 330 Karachi pitch and it's suddenly starting to turn sharply.
 
Not a good pitch tbh. Would have preferred the pitch to be like this from ball 1.

Gives too much weight to the toss. Seems unfair to the team chasing if the team batting first gets a road for 30 overs .

We have the advantage and should win.

Lol and they said they were trying to prepare spinning wickets for the tests . Failed 8 times in a row and now the ball is spinning nicely.

It’s a road but Pak will drag themselves to nz level tuk tuk take game to 48th over needless.. top teams will get target well before. Nz should get 270

With the roller it’s gonna change we usually smash sodhi and as long as we get bracewell guy away wouldn’t be hard but since it’s the Pakistani team I expect them go from 150-2 to 180-7 so anything can happen
 
How many overs left from the spinners?

Feels like the spinners are going to be played out.

It's the spinners that have troubled. If these two settle in, 310-320 is still on.
 
The third seamer will be an interesting selection at the worldcup. Pakistan should try Hasnain too in the leadup. Hopefully Rauf hits form. Shaheen and Naseem are a lock if fit.

No clue, I've seen him running between wickets in person. It's insane how quick he is. Really noticeable how much quicker he is than the rest.
 
Nawaz has never taken a 5-fer in LOI's. Is today the day?

Will be very hard to displace Rauf too regardless of these 2 games. Too big a trump card.

Shaheen naseem partnership though is what's exciting me.

The new ball definitely does a bit more in india than Pakistan . These two if fit will be lethal.
 
Can't really blame Phillips for that. It was a loose ball that was asking to be hit, poor execution.
 
Superb captaincy by babar, reading the situation right and bringing in Naseem and Nawaz at the optimal time.
 
Stayed up to see Bracewell and Phillips bat on a flat pitch <.<

Nothing turned the only thing that happened was Con ways wicket you were bound to fall like a house of cards after that with your brittle middle order this middle order can’t play anywhere outside of Newzeland except Latham

Babar as usual thinking about how he's going to finish 50 overs.
 
From the crowds seen this year in pakistan , it can easily be concluded that Pakistan was never starving for cricket.

No home crowd or home pitch advantage.

The political situation in Pindi and Punjab does not allow these matches to be conducted there. There can be unrests any day. No such issue in Karachi.

England played a test in pindi when the political temperature was at peak , they could havd opted out. I think the real reason is Fog and bad light in pindi and lahore.

Karachi has been disappointing. '

It’s crazy how countries work but honestly uae was a million times better to watch Pakistan play in local crowd packed stadiums amazing memorable matches against Australia South Africa and Sri Lanka. I get it pcb didn’t make any money from it but they are spending more money on security here than getting any revenue with 10 people showing up to watch cricket
