That maybe the Australia media upto their old tricks, but to be very honest, I've always believed that he was over 20 when he debuted.

Not that it makes any difference.
That would be impossible unless the bone age tests are completely faulty.

Oh what the hell is that Aamer, Vettori's too busy laughing to celebrate

Sometimes ATTACK is thee best defence!! Shame Pakistan does not seem to understand that.

Looks like Vettori may yet win this for NZ, as Pakistan continue to choke under the pressure.

Oh what the hell Aamir?? You were doing so well!! That was stupid, plain and simple. Man, these kiwis are really starting to annoy me now. They are acting so cocky and condescending. I really hope we don't lose this match...

think safety first...need to get some runs on the board but also make sure we dont completley throw it away too..gonna be tricky after lunch..gul is known to have repeated brain farts!!..if they can squeeze out 60 runs we may just have a chance!!

I'm not blaming Aamer - juicy long hop - deserved 6.

Its Misbah who needs to hang his head in shame

This match is going to become a OD chase. If we can bat another 10 overs and add about 40 runs it'll be a good chase.

I love Aamir and Umar alot, they good players, but they should not have given their wickets away cheaply like this, it could be test series costly...

Umm oxy a long hop is ball that pitches half way down the track

Aamer did not get out to a long hop

Misbah is the one to blame.

I'm more angered by the way our openers and the senior, Misbah, gave their wickets away.

Good sledging by McCullum, it worked wonders.

all we need to do is bat out 1 hour after lunch......that will leave nz to get 200 in approx 45 overs.........i think 1 more hour of batting and were safe

it seems batting is getting a little more difficult on this pitch - i don't think it will be that easy for NZ to chase anything above what we already have

If they require around 4 runs per over they will come out and attack so we may pick up some cheap wickets, trying to be postive otherwise been a poor start to the day!

I don't think we will loose this game. Anything above 200 will be hard for NZ to chase. The kind of bowling attack we have, gives us the edge.

We need to be at 200 at 40 overs.

Batting out is much more important than runs.

We need to bat the kiwis out of this match.

Survive 20 overs, that is what we do.

Best possible senerio:

Akmal hits out for next 10 overs and we get 225 lead.
NZ will have 45 overs to meet the target.

I think this was opportunity missed by not playing normal cricket (RR 3.5) and allowing NZ to score at RR 5.5 when Vetorri and McCulum were playing.

Batting isn't getting difficult on this pitch but it seems thinking sensibly is

:misbah :umarakmal :aamir

Session has been a case of so close yet so far. Another 20-30 runs and one less wicket down would have secured the draw I feel.

I'm still hoping for a 200+ lead and the bowlers to give it one last push. NZ commies seem to think they'll have the match sown up with a target of less than 200, they seem to forget their line up was bowled out for 99 a week or so ago.

Now tell me, how important was Farhat's innings in the 1st innings ? If not for his innings, Pakistan would have definitely lost this match. Except him, no other batsman scored even 30 odd runs in the 1st innings.

Best possible scenario is we block every single ball for the rest of the day so you guys can hear the commentators whinge about negativity while I watch Kurt on Monday Night Football.

So its lunch with that aswell

Aamer gone for 7 off 53 balls

Pak lead by 173 at lunch!

421-7
Thanks.

Really didn't feel like going to CI :D

Looking at the odds (bookies), no one believes Pak is going to win. (don't blame them)

They're calling for draw.

Match Winner 3-way
Draw 1/7
New Zealand 5/1
Pakistan 28/1

Another 30 run from here will make the match very interesting. Kami must ensure we cross the 200 mark before getting out. Have to get the psychological 200 target.

We must remember we are talking about NZ here. Aren't they 1 place below us? This has to say something about their Test form lately.

bone tests have a +- accuracy of 6 months apparantly. So we can be confident that Aamer and Umar are at the very most 6 months older than their official age (since they both have been through bone tests)

Yes it was - but he singlehandedly cost us the 1st test...a ton was the least he could do for us

Hi imShally

Dont worry - we have have this game in bag
not really..its either a draw (most likely..or a NZ win..) thats the truth.unless our bowlers do magic.

Gul must play his game

He is not one who succeeds in poking and prodding. Might as well get some runs

:)) Will agree with that though. Didn't contribute with that bat, and also dropped some vital catches.

No they don't

I've had my team mates who've gone through bone tests get ages 3-4 years older than their real age.

They were disqualified from events becuase of it

Erm...so they work!

Watch we miss all singles and Akmal gets out. We don't even reach 200,
