This session definitely belong to Pak. One more wicket in this over would be a dream start to the series :dav

ok guys, take a call - draw or result ? What do you make of the pitch btw ?

Lunch- A good session for Pakistan...

I am missing Abdur-Rehman already, babar has'nt looked that effective

Challo, good session. If we can nick another two wickets in the afternoon session we'll be ahead.

Why didn't Pak prepare a spinning track why not use advantage like other countries do

Seamers have done their job. Now its up to Ajmal and Babar to make sure that they keep things tight and pick up atleast a couple of wickets in the next session.

Get these two and South Africa will be dismissed by the end of the day, InshAllah.

Sir you can change your Signature now, The guy is dropped just because of you from Tests!

Donot even think of giving me credit as all credit belongs to the creator of the thread "hafeez a beast against zimbabwe" which led to his abysmal performance and ofcourse sir dale steyn. all credit to both of you for it. :misbah:misbah

No, our seamers bowled well and extracted a little bit of juice out of the wicket that even the flattest tracks have on day 1.

Actually I believe the pitch has a nice bounce which should help both seamers and spinners specially after 2 days.

That was a nightmare actually ;)

Basit Ali just mentioned before the match that after Miandad Sir Hafeez got the best cricketing brain in Pakistan!

It has a little bit of bounce, which Irfan will always extract. That could, however, just be that early morning, day 1 freshness. Misbah said he expects it to get slower as the match goes on so I don't see that bounce staying.

Hopefully the pitch breaks up and shows some uneven bounce, that is, if we're in a position to exploit that.

Hafeez has definitely got an excellent cricket brain and so does Malik, but they don't have the playing skills to compliment their thinking skills.

Both can become excellent coaches in my opinion.

Great stuff from Pakistan, excellent bowling. South Africans choking with all the hype, I want to see Steyn getting smashed. Get South Africa all out for under 200 runs, score 400 runs and then get South Africa all out in second innings for 150. Game over :akhtar

ten sports are continously showing fawad alam 169 against SL on his debut :( man im missing this lad

66-3 on a flat track!

where are those who laughed at me when I said irfan can't bowlnin tests? :shakib

hmm my brother told me he saw an ad for this series on foxtel in australia, maybe they are just showing the limited overs stuff as the test isn't on.

Here in US its 4:40 AM... I want to see Battle between Ajmal Vs ABD/Amla - This is what test cricket is about ;-)

hur, i think it is a good batting surface & surely not as flat as the surface we saw here when these 2 teams last played .

I think the surface on which 2010 Pak-SA test was played was more bowler friendly on day-1, but problem was that pitches didnt turn much in that series

Anything less than 300 would be great, Anything above 400 would give advantage to SA, b/w 300-400 game would be in balance
