Pakistan take on United Arab Emirates in their packed week of the 2015 World Cup.

Can Pakistan finally find their perfect combination of the tournament? Or will they still struggle once again with the bat?

UAE on the other hand, will look to play their heart out - they will be looking for an upset.

Toss in about 25 minutes, bat first or bowl?
 
Pitch looks a batting paradise i hope our batsmen will not make it look like a minefield and from the look of it and as the reporter said this pitch is not going to offer any extra bounce. Lets see if we can win the toss and bat first and make UAE crumble under scorecard pressure

Have to travel tomorrow at 10am to friggin' Newport - will watch a bit of the game, especially if Pak bat first.
 
I see Pakistan winning this of course but not as comfortably or convincingly. Its not going to be a walk in the park by any means.
 
Hope we bat first

240 will be fine against the UAE in which we should have no problems winning but if we bat first we need to put up a huge score to improve NRR

I expect us to make 304/8, not a decent score to be honest, against this bowling attack we should be looking at 340+... Zimbabwe actually had some decent bowlers so I expected us not to get a great score but if the batsman have difficult scoring in this game they need to get a beating

Napier is a 340 pitch. Even UAE should score 260+.
 
If UAE bats first and scores 280, things can get tricky for Pakistan.

Pakistan should look to restrict UAE to 200 if UAE bats first. Otherwise go in with a target of 300 and try to revise it up to 340 as the overs progress.

Really get angry with our coward captain and coach. Nasir Jamshed again.
 
I think it's overcast so UAE decided to bowl their 160 kmh bowlers against Pakistani batsmen.

If they batted first, they would be out for 100 in such conditions.

UAE fooled by overcast conditions. It's gonna be sun out soon and 300+ on the cards.

True...he's a gem of a person, a player and servant of pakistan cricket.

Such a shame that a great like him has been tainted by tv experts and muppets who have turned his own country against him.

UAE have 1 very good swing bowler - Javid I believe.

He can make the ball talk so Pak should watch out for him.

If the ball moves than that spells trouble as theses Pak batsman are hopeless against any swing - feet are stuck on glue with no intent to play with soft hands to rotate strike either.

actually i dont blame him i am seeing many people again looking at malik as captain after wc but im not in favor of recycling TTF again and again result will be same we can't afford Malik back in him

when did Malik performed last time? it's like getting another yk in the team just because he is senior why not start with a fresh team after wc instead of same players and than we will be crying again comes the 2019 wc that these senior are doing this and that

Don't think this would be a bad idea since our current openers are useless, may as well give Afridi a try, might get off to a fast start for a change
 
what happened to PCB Chairman giving strong statement of playing Sarfaraz.
I agree with not playing yasir today. They are good against spin and have many lefties in batting line up

For this match yes. Can you imagine Afridi up against Mitchells Starc and Johnson LOL
 
I called it in one of the threads after the last match. Team will remain the same no changes even though we JUST beat Zimbabwe, they still like to stick to don't fix anything thats not broken. This will either backfire or do the opposite however I am disgusted at the fact that Safraz is still a sitting duck in the dugout as a spectator so far this tournament. Umar Akmal continues to drop and Jamshed lets not talk about his fielding. Yasir Shah is a handy bowler and a handy fielder too but oh well the think thank and mentality of our management sucks big time.

Unchanged team, have no idea when Misbah is going to learn. We are going to loose a wicket in first 5 overs

So true. I actually back myself to score more runs than Jamshed..

Anyway dont think these rumours are true Afridi hasnt got pads on in anthems.. Nasir and Shahzad do
