Boring match. We have always been a good T20 side. It was just Afridi holding us back the last two years. But now that he is gone, we are good in T20s again. The real test will come in the ODIs. Tests and T20s, we would win easily. I must say that this is a very boring match.

Sound quality so poor on Willow, every nudge off the bat sounds like the ball hitting the stumps

Indeed. Afridi used to score his low scores and get usual phainta in bowling.
 
Those calling it boring, are not prioritizing their team, this ain't boring, this is pure carnage, this is the rise of Pakistan cricket team, awesome to watch.
 
i wanted the match to finish early because i wouldnt be able to watch after 7. westendies are making that posssible! this could be over even sooner

we've generally been a decent ODI team too- super defensive captains like Misbah / Azhar have been holding us back last 3-4 years

While I agree that Azhar Ali is not an ODI player, it's not fair to blame everything on the captain alone. It's a bit like let's blame Misbah that used to happen here in the past. Pakistan aren't exactly blessed with batting talents in LOIs and Azhar probably deserves his place more than many other batsmen in the team. I'm sure Sarfaraz wouldn't have made a difference in that 444 match, maybe the total could've been 10 or 20 runs lesser.

Seems to have learned the art of the slower ball.

Agreed, but my question is why Wahab need to lose his plot? Why not the 1st plot been 16 overs of spin & 4 overs by Tannu, Hasu to take the shine off. In fact these wickets don't deserve Tannu, Hasu - Yamin & Hamnad should have served better to skin off the ball & contribute with bat. No shame in that - you play your cards accordingly.

I live in Toronto & you can revisit my pre match post - even from 8 hours time zone gap I could smell the bad breath of UAE wicket - PAK should have played Nasim for sure.

No, he would have. Azhar's field placings, bowling changes and general moral boosting abilities are poor. He's not a good captain. Sarfraz wouldn't have let Wahab continue to bowl that drivel. He would've had a word or two instructing him to follow a certain gameplan.

But likely we would've still gone for 350+ and lost.

Actually our trundling would come to good effect on such pitch, seeing Wahab bamboozling the Windies bats through his 120 kph thunderbolts.
